Being Dutch in Belfast
Although I am not used to posting, blogging and all the other things that go on in life nowadays I decided to take the plunge and post.
I started the slimming world diet 5 weeks ago and i must say things are going pretty well. So far I have lost 10kg (1.5 st) so it seems to work well but i am running out of ideas for what to eat. I am a very picky eater who loves cheese and fresh bread so i am having a hard time eating not to much of these. I am also diabetic so my medicine is not helping either.
At the moment i have s slices of wholemeal bread in the morning with either boiled egg or light cheese, a salad in the afternoon with lettuce, cucumber, peppers with a light dressing and on most days some cooked chicken with it.
In the evening oven grilled spicy chicken breast ( i love spices) with a side salad and spinach, broccoli.
I noticed that my weightloss is higher eating the salad and the chicken then when i would eat a lot of pasta/rice/potatoes. I do however love it but need some inspiration for making some nice meals that still help me losing weight.
So if anybody is willing to help out this 'old man' :), please do.
I will put down some things i don't like: Seafood, fish (i do like cod and stuff, chunky white fish) , bacon.
What i do love is spicy food, the spicier the better.

If you are losing weight on salad and meat you will get some good ideas for meals on this thread for those doing Red.

Thanks for all the info, i am sure there is lots to find to get som variety in my food.
By the way, so far it looks like i am the only male but there must be plenty of them here.
