Feeling ill after eating unhealthy food nowadays!

I just went and bought my lunch rather than having one I'd made for the first time since I started SW 12 weeks ago.
I had a 6" tuna Subway on brown, with lots of salad. 14 syns when I subtract my hexB bread (green day).
But now my stomach HURTS. Guess it's either the bread or the fatty mayo.

I keep having to remind myself about how ill I'll feel if I go overboard these days. 2 glasses of wine and I'll wake up at 3am. Lots of fatty stuff and I'll feel sick. Sugary stuff and I'll get the jitters.

Does anyone else get this? What foods are worst for you now? How do you feel about it - does it motivate you to continue with healthy changes given the damage this food clearly does?

Hope I don't have to stop eating decent portions of bread for life though!

I get this, not so much the sick feeling, but it doesn't taste as good as it did before, and I definitely don't feel healthy or satisfied afterwards! I always find if I eat something bad I'm hungry about an hour later, but if I eat something healthy I can easily not eat again till I'm supposed to. Think it's your body's way of telling you you don't need this stuff.

A treat once in a while is fine though, just remember your stomach will shrink as you lose weight, so you don't need as much as before!

My worst disappointment was fish and chips. Hadn't had any for ages, then decided to "treat" myself - was SO looking forward to it, but oh dear! Not really very nice at all, far too fatty and I ended up chucking most of it away.

We are, hopefully, educating ourselves to like and to want healthier things. I do have a treat now and then, but I have something really high-quality. For instance, today is my birthday, so for my lunch I had Heston's salmon pate from Waitrose - absolutely delicious, a real treat, not too high in calories (no mayonnaise in it!!), worth every syn and every penny!

I find if I eat a Chinese iv terrible heartburn & get a scummy feeling in my mouth from the Greece....

Also, my digestive system totally packs up if I go off plan, I end up looking pregnant

I did exactly the same with the fish and chips (at the fancy pub).

Happy birthday!

I still eat and enjoy fatty foods as part of a balanced diet and don't feel ill afterwards, even though I don't eat them very often. I only feel sick if I've eaten too much of anything, be it SW friendly or not! It must be true that your stomach shrinks, but it's easy to grow it again. If it didn't, people wouldn't regain weight quite so easily!

I struggled with chip shop chips not long ago (I used to be able to easily eat a whole large portion)
I also cant eat full size bars of chocolate any more.
The last time I had my usual chinese takeaway, I was ILL too like seriously ill. Switched to a healthier option in a similar sauce, same yummy sauce taste but no icky tum :D

Luckily I can still drink wine no problem ^_^

Sorry to bring more bad news but Subway breads are not wholemeal and so do not count towards a healthy extra B choice. That's what it says on the SW unfortunately so the sub would be synned in full :(

I cab't eat anything off plan any more as it makes me feel really ill, it's a lmost as if my body cannot process high fat foods any more

You can ask for a 'breadless sub' all of your favourite subway fillings served on a salad from what I understand (personally I think the place is over priced and vile but thats after seeing how their kitchens operate) Those people I know who do get them say you get way more filling for your money and obviously the syns are a heck of a lot less.x.x.

I know what you mean. A while ago I decided to treat myself to 2 crumpets, real butter and melted cheese. Biggest mistake ever! I ended up feeling so ill after all the fat, I had heartburn, I felt sick, my heart was racing for hours after I ate it and it made me short of breath all night. I couldn't get comfortable, I just had to go to bed and sleep it off. No more of that stuff for me from now on!

I can't manage high fat food anymore. It ruins my insides. In small "normal" doses it's ok of course but in the quantities I used to eat it, well the after effects are just not worth it.

I also find I no longer like over processed foods. Sausages aside I can't manage things like mug shots. I know they are considered a slimming world staple but to me they taste so artificial and I feel so so icky after eating them. So I don't anymore except in a work emergency. I have some in my locker but they have now been there for months. Id rather have. Banana. :)

milk chocolate I find too sickly and have totally adjusted to having less of the darker stuff for an instant and perfectly syn-able chocolate fix.

Its funny how my tolerances and tastes have changed since being on Slimming World. All that fresh food clearly does something right!!!

I found too now that if I eat rubbish I end up looking bloated and like I've got a ball up my top!

I have fish and chips as treat once a week, and I'm never ill after them, but I don't eat the same amount as I used to. We now share a bag of chips, with a fish each and I have mushy peas too. However I used to get fish and chips each, breadcake and a sneaky battered jumbo sausage to eat on the way home!

Oh god, this is soooo me! After weigh in last night we got a take away and I didn't manage much but did have a few dips of garlic mayo! I've felt ill all day off it, and it's all I have been able to taste :( also if I eat a lot of sweet things in a day I go a bit dizzy! Must get a sort of sugar rush. Felt a bit high last time! Lol!

Whoops I never learn. We had cheese and crackers and wine at the end of work yesterday while we did Secret Santa. I didn't binge by my old standards but it was about 10 times as much cheese as I've had in one go since starting SW. Felt bloated and sick all evening.

Just made the mistake of eating one of the snowman cookies I made last night for my colleagues. Still feel sick an hour after eating it, whoops!

I'm sensitive anyway but it's much worse now. Most things make me feel sick/get a food hangover

I won't be eating much on xmas I want to enjoy it!! Spending boxing day feeling sick as a dog is no fun!

I'm feeling like I'm due some sort of epiphany in my eating habits. My brain needs to catch up with my newly intolerant stomach.
Most of the time I'm pretty good at sticking to plan when I'm in my normal routine. I can generally turn down chocolate, biscuits etc at work and don't really keep snacks in the house. I hardly buy alcohol for home nowadays.
But when I go out to a party/buffet it's a different matter and I seem to revert to my pre-SW self. I eat even when I already feel quite sick and just keep going even when I'm not really enjoying it, and then feel really ill afterwards. This has happened about 3 times in the last week due to all the Christmas parties. It's particularly bad because I don't know what food will be on offer and I can't plan in advance or really count syns as I go.
I wish I could make my brain 'click' into the mindset of someone who is naturally slim. I want to be able to happily make healthy choices and enjoy food but not stuff myself and feel ill. I feel like learning to do this is one of my big challenges for the next week over Christmas.

Just because I need to see it written out, here's what I ate yesterday evening. It's silly and I felt ill. Why did I do it?!
4 prawn filo bites with sweet chilli dip.
6 hot cheese bites.
A whole load of cheese (brie, stilton, wensleydale)
1 mince pie.
About 10 chocolate coins.
4-5 mini ring doughnuts.
2 chocolate ball thingies.
4? mini cream eclairs.
2 mini packs of fizzer sweets and a blackjack penny chew.
4-5 glasses red wine.
A pint of homebrew beer.

I manage ok most of the time but yesterday decided to have whatever I wanted at a meal out which was...pate on toast, HUGE fish chips and mushy peas(plus some of sons chips and a tatse of other sons steak and ale from pie) then baileys cheesecake and cream and 2 large red wines ad a whisky coffee...felt sick afterwards and had to go to the loo in night etc plus scales up 2lb today! Hopefully this will help me keep eating in perspective over the rest of the hols!
