    This year is mine!!!!

I've been overweight almost my whole life, sometimes not so bad sometimes really bad. I had my first baby a year ago and have lost around 2 stone since but I've got at least another 2 to lose. Being overweight effects my whole life but especially my confidence, think pretty much it's the same for everyone. I usually make wise cracks about my weight before someone else does and don't want to have to take the p*ss out of myself anymore so I've decided that 2014 I'm getting down to a healthy weight and it going to be my year. To help me I'm going to be posting ideas, recipes and general thoughts to spur me on and hopefully if you read this and feel the same about yourself we can encourage each other! I know I can do it this time, I'm a bridesmaid twice next year in Oct and Nov so I have something to definitely aim for. So here's hoping you join me and we can help each other reach our goals and feel great in 2014!!! Xxxx

Right then plan of action for the next few days is to follow success express or is it express success??? Anyway the words sound good to me in any order. So it's 2/3 super free and 1/3 free food and in going to do this until NYE. I get weighed NY day so then back on it for a full week for my first proper weigh in of 2014. I've set my self mini targets of half a stone a month, but need to loose 3 lbs before NY day which I'm not sure I'll do as it's only 5 days away but I'll give it my best shot! Going to couple this with walking everyday for at least an hour with the pushchair. Let's get 2014 off to a great start! Xxx

Perhaps you've been too hard on yourself in going from 'Christmas eating' to success express? Just do the standard plan and allow yourself some treats. Is there a time of day when you are particularly strong-willed eg when you get up in the morning? If so, count out your treats then and put into a container for later and put the rest out of sight. Practice visualization techniques and picture yourself refusing crisps and other things - it really can help.

If you have any unopened boxes, check the dates and consider giving them away - or if you tend to get asked for raffle prizes etc., put them aside for those.

Hi all the chocolates have gone in the bin except my one year olds (not that mean lol) been proper good last couple of days and done the success express 100% after I had a little word with myself and told Myself I've done really well so far and not to throw it all away on quality streets which I don't really bother with chocolate normally so in the bin they went much to my other halfs distress though he was going to dive into the bin to save them ha ha ha. Thanks for all the suggestions SE is quite hard but feel I need to give myself a kick up the bottom for a week or so or at least I back to basics. Now to kick back and watch darts with a nice cold glass of .......... Water. Happy new year to you all xxx
