To cut a long story short I have done every diet under the sun! and failed! But something has shifted in me and now I am more determined than ever! I am on Extra Easy online starting from today and have 7 stones to lose... (EEEEEEEK! How did I get so big???) Have had a Muller light with chopped up fruit for brekkie, A chicken salad for lunch and am making Spaghetti bolognese tonight! Can anyone recommend where the best place to buy extra lean mince is? And is it better to get pork or beef? Oh my God I need to get this weight off! Please follow me along my journey! xxx
 
Good luck with your journey, Natasha. I've got 2 stone to lose and finding it really difficult. I think I need to get my head around it then I might get somewhere.. Lol x

I had somewhere around 8 stone to lose and if I used that as my goal from the start I dont think I would have got anywhere, set yourself little goals to get to on the way instead. I did and before I knew it, in less than 9 months, I am aiming to get my 6 stone award!

The plan does work, its fab and so easy. I would say between pork and beef its just a personal choice, but you could also use turkey or quorn mince (these are speed foods so will help speed up your weightloss)

Make sure you get your healthy extras though, can't see where you've fitted them in to your food plan today, make sure you drink plenty of water too :)

good luck with moving forward, try to think of some non scale goals so that the big overall weightloss doesnt seem too big! I want to loose bang on 10st so im trying to do the same!
As for lean mince, asda does extra lean minced beef for £2, they are only small packs but I managed to get 3 packs reduced after xmas and made a big batch of slow cooker chilli in it. We have got 4 adult portions and 4 kids portions out of it so far and there is a little left for lunch today for me. So you should be able to make a decent meal from just one.
We have also bought turkey mince and are trying that for the first time this week.

Hello, def break it down its to much to face in one go.
I find helpful is find things in your plan which is your comfort food and easy. So there's always something. If I need a quick meal it's an omelette or sw fry up. Sw pancakes with frozen cherries and maple syrup (1/2syn) feel like a real treat.

I agree with above replies, think about setting another target, getting to another number stone or 7lbs at a time.

I want 2.5st off and it's been really tough but I'm motivated now, since having to buy size 16 work clothes to return to work after 6m (maternity leave) I really want to be wearing size 12s again before the summer x good luck
 
I'm an online member too and got about 3 stone to lose x The plan does work has I have lost 3 stone before on SW just a pound a week is 52 pounds a year which is nearly 3 stone x that's how I look at it if I only lose a pound xx
 
That's a great way of thinking it! That's my goal 1lb a week would be massive achievement this time next year!!

I used to think god a pound is that it but then when I was talking to my mum and hubby about it they pointed out that lol and its right I would have lost majority I wanted to if I lost a pound a week :D
 
Yea I'm going to think of it like that, if I lost that by this time next year id be so pleased with myself!
