Extra Easy Success Express!

I am going to start the Success express this week. I need a big list of breakfasts that are suitable for eating at work. Other than buying a vat load of fresh fruit every day I am worrying about what breakfasts I can eat without spending lots of time and money.

I just can't see how it won't cost loads of money to keep buying fresh fruit! Lunch and dinner are not so bad but breakfast is the killer!

It does cost a lot but buy frozen fruit as ACH said as it is so much cheaper. Also buy fruits that are in season at the moment.

Good luck x

I use the frozen summer berries from asda, You get loads in for how much you need to top cereal or add to yogurts. which is what I use as my breakfast most day. you can also make the SW pancakes and have them for breakfast. Or make some scan bran muffins? depending on what you add then can be as low as 1 syn each! scan bran is super filling too. then just have your fruit of choice on the side. If you have time porridge can be used as your hexB, nice and filling and you can throw your berries on top of that. Its super cheap too if you dont mind using shops own brands. x.x.

You can also have 2 Hex A&B on success express, so if you like to use your hexb on an alpen to snack on, its ok you can still have bread or scan bran or porridge.x.

Wow so any great ideas, thanks! I have tried the frozen summer berries from Asda a and they are great but tend to get quite soggy by the time I get to work! The value pack of frozen fruit from tesco is good too. Thanks all :)

I defrost mine and just leave them in the fridge so I can pick at them when I like. You could always defrost and drain them so you dont have loads of excess juice (although its really nice poured over scan bran cake) .x.x.

scan bran is like ryvita type of crispbread but its super high in fibre (something like 45%)

it tastes pretty horrid and not unlike cardboard just on its own but you can use it like that and top it like a cracker.

However you can cook with it and THEN its actually quite tasty. There are a load of threads with the various recipes for burgers, cakes, muffins, sweets etc.

Its available to buy in groups or in holland and barratt its 'scandanavian crispbread' and I prefer the oaty one for cakes. You can have 5 slices for hexb or 1 syn per slice.

.x.x.x.

Asda do a really nice fruit platter for £2.50 which sounds a lot but it would easily do 2 or 3 portions, especially if you have yoghurt or something with it. The one I've got has strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, blueberries, and (I think) 2 types of melon. Given the fruit that's in it, I think £2.50 is quite reasonable but it is a lot to shell out in one go.

Depending on how much time you have you could make something savoury for breakfast rather than having fruit all the time. A favourite of mine is a 1 egg omelette packed with mushrooms, onions and spinach with some chilli flakes and oregano. You can easily get your 2/3 super free in there and it tastes great cold too so you could make it the night before for a filling breakfast to grab in the morning.
