Extra Easy EE, SW online, reciepe planner

Hi I'm Natalie, a mum of 2, youngest has just turned 1 and eldest is 4. I am just under 13st which is the heaviest I have been without been pregnant. I got down to 11st 9lbs July last year from been 14st 7lbs pregnant with my youngest. I got down to 10st after having my first (was 11st before I fell pregnant with him) and then stayed at 10st 9lbs before I fell pregnant with my youngest. I feel so fat and it's getting me down. I have done WW successfully but fancied a change. I joined SW online last week but haven't fully started it as I can't get my head around it. I was hoping there would be a recipe planner on the website like on WW but there isn't and I am sort of lost with out one. I have done my meal planner but I know syns and free foods change when part of a recipe so this is where I am confused. Do you know of any sites that do a SW recipe planner?

There is a 7 day meal planner (meaty and a veggie one) on SW lifeline online, it gives you the info for red/green/extra easy plan

syns and free food dont change just because theyre part of a meal, a potato is free if you boil it, chip it, mash it or roast it. Chocolate, unfortunately is a syn if its in a bar, melted in a cake, set around fruit or licked off someones body haha

If there is anything you need help with or dont understand let me know and Ill try and help.x.x.

Ah right, they're what are called "tweaks" and they cause confusion even to veterans.

One thing to do is stay clear from them all together
Another is to syn them
And the third (and my personal option) theyre still a free food.

Realistically how often are you going to make the smash pizza/ couscous cake/ lasagne crisps? If its every day then it may impact your weightloss and then I would suggest syning.
If its once in a while (as it is for myself) then I say its still healthier than the alternative so Im having it! My consultant agrees with this school of thought and uses them himself.

The argument is that you arent using the food as it is intended. I say why isnt it meant to be used like that? Are eggs meant to be scrambled or omletted? Are potatoes supposed to be chipped or roasted? Should quark be made into a dessert? should scan bran be made into cakes? I see it as just another way of cooking them.

Of course this is purely my opinion and Im sure you will find threads on the forum if you want to educate yourself more.x.x.

Thank you :) I do like your way of thinking! It makes it easier. I have just had a massive bowl of lean beef mince, veg, beans, tinned tomatoes (left overs from spag bol with added extras) and I am stuffed and I just can't see how I can eat all that and it be free?

It is a fab plan, you never have to go hungry :)

I would say if you ever have a bad weightloss or a one you are unhappy with, if you have had a tweak in that week, try removing it from your plan and see how you go. I personally have never had a problem with them, but as I say, I dont have them everyday. x.x.

Other than tweaks the only thing that changes is that blended/cooked/canned/juiced fruit is synned whereas whole fruit is not, and vegetable juice also has a few syns (but blended/cooked/canned is fine).
It really is that simple. People sometimes say they find SW complex but I reckon it's very easy once you know the plan. I could never stick to WW with all the weighing.

Chocolate, unfortunately is a syn if its in a bar, melted in a cake, set around fruit or licked off someones body haha

This made me laugh! I've got an image in my head now of a bedroom, heat of the moment, OH pulls out a bottle of chocolate sauce... "Hang on, let me grab my measuring jug so I can syn it! How many calories are in it? No! Stop pouring it! Ergh, hang on, help me scoop it off you and into the jug so I can measure it...wait a minute! I can't remember how many syns I've had today, let me grab my food diary..." :rotflmao:

:8855:surely the body magic would work it off ;) :giggle:
