Really want to succeed!!

Hi,
I have been trying to follow SW at home since september (cant afford class at the moment) and really think it could be great for me, my weight loss has been a bit up and down (overall a slow downward trend) until xmas and it all went wrong so basically starting again! I really want to lose a lot of weight and have my brothers wedding as a goal in september (dont want to be fat in the pics). Any help, advice, nagging or just random words of motivation will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kitten. It's good to have a goal to work for. Good luck with it. I don't go to class (Now) but have done in the past, and have the info packs to back up the thorough explanation of the plan that the consultant gave me. Have you got all the info? If not, look out for the vouchers for free joining - you can find your local class and go along for the induction and pack. There is nothing binding to make you go back the next week.

Good luck anyway :)

Hi Lucky7,

I have some books that a friend has loaned me, and I think I have got my head around it all, though always finding out new things (like not having syns at all being a bad thing, so I now try to have some). Ive managed quite well cutting out certain things, but still crave things and I then end up binging :( but I am past xmas and have not gained as much as I had lost, and so definately going to do it this year.

Thanks for the advice about going just for the introduction tho, had never thought about doing that. :p

I've done it a few times in the past (when the new year vouchers appear in the papers). I always feel a bit dishonest doing it, but to be honest I REALLY don't like sitting in the meetings for so long. I'd rather use the spare time to get some more exercise in. Good luck :)

Hi Lucky7,

What is it that you are cutting out? Can you find a SW way of incorarating a little of these things into the plan? I find that if I deny myself things it only leads to binging on it later.
