slimming world group or on line membership?

Im new to SW having bought myself the latest mag I feel this may be the diet for me. I dont know if im confident enough to try a group< I dont even know what my current weight is..... has anyone tried SW on line??

I tried SW online.... before christmas I contacted them & asked to transfer to group. I felt online lacked the personal support that you can get at group, it just seemed too difficult to deal with myself.
I started at group on 7th Jan & lost 4.5lb first week. It was so much easier to do having attended group.
Just my opinion, I know some people have good results online, just not for me.

For me it had to be group. I find going there on a wednesday evening is more like a social couple of hours! I've met some lovely people.

Group for me too. I had my second group meeting on Thursday, lost 3lb and still on the wagon and determined to lose weight. I tried online twice and both times I gave up before my first weigh in.

However I think it comes down to personal choice. For me, online didn't work because I don't have enough self discipline not to binge if nobody's going to know if I've put on that week. I find going to group is far more supportive and even though image therapy can drag on a bit ( I'm in a particularly big group ) it's worth staying for.

I had online from the start and lost 3st. I have recently cancelled it to go it alone however as I don't feel it represents value for money long term. I paid for the top level so I have all the books so that helps and this place is my go to for advice. I've used it since the start and tbh minimins has more to thank for my success than the online SW service. I only ever used it for the food diary app. I'll be buying a notebook instead as £20pm is too much just to have it on my iphone.

I can can understand the draw of meetings but I still think that if you are going to succeed you will do it either way. x

I brought my books from ebay (a slimming world consultant) as I cannot afford to join an online group and there is no groups around here easily accessible. I am determined to do this though and my will power is strong at the moment

I was going to join a group, but last minute I chickened out and just joined online instead. I'm only a few days in but feeling strong and confident that it's going to work. I do have boyfriend helping me though - he literally won't let me cheat haha!
