I work 12 hour night shifts in a nursing home, I don't have set break times and when i do i tend to have no appetite. By the time i get home Im too tired to eat so i'm only on my third week and im already missing my syns. meals and healthy extras. Can anybody give me any tips or advice?

If you can eat food cold like pasta thats always good for snacking on.....I do nights as well I take lots of Fruit, Sea Food Sticks, Mug Shots....this way if i get peckish i just eat the good stuff rather than syns. Snack a Jacks are good for quick snacks the crisp versions are around 4 syns a pack.

I always use my heb to take on a night shift. An example of my 'day' is a normal dinner at 6pm. I usually take my break around 2pm where I eat my heb weight watchers pitta stuffed with lean meat and salad, a hifi light bar (3 syns) hoops and crosses crisps (4-4.5 syns) a danio yogurt (1.5 syns) I'm usually stuffed after this. I then eat a fruit salad with a muller yogurt when I get home before going to bed or if I've finished my set of nights I have a SW fry up before crashing in the sofa to watch a movie. I always find I lose better on nights as I'm much more organised. X

I work nights in a hotel, I usually take lots of snacky bits, things I can just grab and eat as I'm passing. Things like SW quiche, fresh fruit cut up, weetabix muffins, Hi-fi bars, boiled eggs, SW cheese pie, pickled vegs, carrot sticks, curry loaf etc. I also take soup in a flask so it's ready any time. I have my tea before I go to work and some breakfast before I go to bed. I think you have to be really organised and take food that suits you and your work pattern x

Thanks everyone great ideas! im definitely going to take a flask of soup and some cheese and fruit to nibble on xx
