I only use milk in my tea .. so I tend to use it as a HexA. The thing I do get confused about it if I have cheese ... do I have to lower milk intake of just count it as a syn. I have less cheese than the stated amount anyway .. I usually have a sprinkle of cheese on top a salad or my jacket ???

I use both HEX As as skimmed milk and so I don't actually measure it out and drink loads of tea throughout the day!

I've started drinking a lot of green tea, although I always have to start the day with a proper cuppa and sometimes have another later in the day. If I'm having cereal I use milk as my HexA and generally have enough milk left for a cup of tea, otherwise I syn it by the dash.

I stopped using milk as my Hex A as I wasn't finishing it all every day. I'd pour out my daily allowance into a bottle, and then often have at least half of it left over. I only use milk in my coffee, and some days I might just have one or two.

So I switched and now syn my milk and use Hex A on cheese. I've never tried splitting it between the two, might have a look at doing that.

Some people will have half the milk allowance and half the cheese allowance, like Sarahslimming said above
