Extra Easy Forgive me father...for I have Synned ;P

Hey guys :)
I'm looking for some advice on syns :confused:
I am currently, 7lbs off target (woop!):cool: but, lately, have come to an almighty halt. -_-:sigh:
Shortly after Christmas I reached my lightest of 9st 12lbs, but proceeded to gain every week following; reaching 10st 2lbs at one point! :eek:
I am wondering if this has anything to do with my syns :/
I rarely used to have them- maybe 20 a week maximum but following a ton of chocolate gifts for Christmas, a 'treat bag' developed:rolleyes:
Now, I have several treats throughout the week: Chocolate, Marshmallows etc... but I rarely ever go over my syns; usually 6-8 daily and a treat of 15 syns after weigh in.
What's going wrong! :(
The scales are going in the wrong direction!
I'm doubting the plan now; I haven't exceeded my syns in 2 weeks and have still gained! :eek:

Any advice!? :wave_cry:
 
To be honest, I think you answered your own question. You weren't really eating any syns and now you are, and they all seem to be in chocolate :D

The plan does work but you admittedly aren't following it 100% because you weren't eating the syns to begin with, when you did your body reacted to the intake of calories. I would assume this would settle given time as the syns are factored into the plan.

However, if I were in your shoes I might try the following: Go back to what I was doing before. Try to incorporate some daily syns but eat less of these in chocolate or try to incorporate some syns with no chocolate. Or finally stick with it and see if the gains settle out. Good call Jeanne. We hear that at meeting almost EVERY week. Ensure you have the Syns and even go back to Day 1 and start all over again.
 
I'm similar to you in that I don't have many lbs to go before target! I had a week or two where I had 5 syns daily and didn't lose. I was told to up my syns and see if that made a difference. I was very sceptical to say the least - I figured surely if I eat more 'naughty' food this can't be good?!?
So, I did it anyway, ( by eating a freddo daily for an extra 5 syns) and the following week I lost!!
My other 5 or so syns I use for dressings on salads or a bit of marg on toast etc etc.
Drink more water and up your syns and see how you get on.
