Hi, Newbie here!

HI,

Just wanted to take 2 mins to introduce myself. I'm a 26 year old, full time working, overweight mother of 2 and wife of 1 lol. I realised my weight has been creeping and creeping and creeping and I am currently 10st heavier than I would like to be. I joined my local SW and lost 12lbs in week 1 (Shocked to say the least!) I then went on to lose 0.5lb in week 2. I wasnt expecting another 12 but a 1 or 2 would have been nice. Anyway I am wittering on! Going to try and figure out what I am doing her and get my head round the sight. Looking forward to getting to 'know' you all :)

Hello!! Wow, well done on your 12lb weight loss- amazing! :) Well done on your 0.5lb too. I always think that a loss is still a loss. I've had weeks where I've had good losses and then done exactly the same things the following week and only lost 0.5lb. A little frustrating but still better than a gain ;-) Good luck for this week!x

Welcome. Weight loss so far has been excellent! Try not to focus on the fact that you only lost 0.5lbs this week.....its a loss and trust me its better than nothing. All those 0.5lbs soon add up!
Keep up the good work and if you ever have a question this is thr right place :)

You mightn't be as disheartened if you think of it as 12.5lbs in 2 weeks instead of breaking it up. That is an amazing loss, anyone would be delighted with that!! Well fone, good luck for this week

Thank you all. got my fingers crossed for 1.5lb loss this week then i will have broken the 1st mark. I amlways give up after a while after trying various different diets after the years. Really hoping I can stick with it this time! Hoping I can get some good tips here :) x

I agree! Any loss is still a loss no matter how big or small! 1lb a week is nearly 4 stone in a year!! :party0011: Good Luck!!!

I never looked at it like that. I'm hoping 10at in about 18 months, so hopefully I'll e able to sustain 2lbs a week x

Wow well done! I've lost 12.5lbs in 4 weeks, also hoping for my 1.5lb to get my stone award :)

Are you enjoying slimming world?

Hi JenJen. Yeah I kind of am. Just dying for cakey/chocolatey-ness!!! How are you finding it? X

Hiya! Well I'm exactly the same,it's the cakey choccy stuff that I crave, try stirring an options chocolate sachet into a vanilla mullerlite, some options are just 1 or2 syns and they sometimes hit the spot,a bit like a chocolate pudding taste. Or,what I love to do is make a magic pancake in the usual way but mix in an options (there's a theme here lol) just before I fry it up! Mmmm choccy ish and cakey ish?! I know I'm strange! :)

Hi

im really enjoying it. I've tried dieting loads before, but something seems to have clicked this time, and I'm just so determined.
i have 3 things keeping me motivated.
1) my son starts school in August and the school takes a photo of the little ones with their parents. With my other boys photos I've been pregnant or just had a baby, so want to look slim this time.
2) my friend gets married in September and I want to wear a dress, a nice one that I picked cos I like it not because it's the only thing in my size.
3) I'm going to Portugal in October and I don't want to have to cover up, granted I'll never wear a bikini, but it'd be nice to feel comfortable.

you should get a goody box, that's filled with low syn treats that are just for you. Then if you have a craving for something sweet or savoury, you will always have something so you don't fall off plan.

Similar to me, my eldest also starts school nursery in Sep, we have a holiday and friends wedding in July.

I filled the biscuit tin with sherbet dip daps/sherbet fountains and flumps! Like the sound of a half syn cake, I'm going to have to look that up, ta :)

Thanks all for your kind comments x

Mmmmm well it's 35g plain porridge oats, whisk in 2 eggs and sweetener (I use lots cause of my sweet tooth) and fry it in some fry lite in a hot frying pan, some people like to mix in a fat free yoghurt but it's up to you, lovely for breakfast with some strawberry or blueberries mmmm, sort of cakey flapjacky flavour.
Just be careful with syns,35g porridge can be used for a hexb, otherwise you'll have to syn it,I have done this lots cause they're so lush and I think it worked out at 7 syns

For the magic pancakes I used 3 eggs (as I find they flip better) also I blended them to make them smooth, also if you like cinnamon then add a bit of that and it makes them taste like French toast

I do 1 egg, whisk the white with 3 spoons of sweetener till you get stiff peaks. Then mix yolk with 3 spoons of sweetener, mix white and yolk then cook with fry light. Nice with a chopped banana a splash of maple syrup for one syn x
