How quickly did you see results?

You are probably not as bloated, I definitely felt slimmer after a short time because all the bloat from eating rubbish was gone!

I've lost 16.5lbs and my clothes feel looser, and people say I look thinner but I don't see it myself.

I always like these posts! As I am so impatient and wanting visible differences fast!! I have lost 6lbs in 3 weeks so slow and steady. Someone did say the other day that I looked like I had lost weight but my clothes still feel the same and I think it will be another 10lbs before my clothes start to loosen.

I've lost 10lbs in just over 4 weeks, but I honestly can't see or feel any difference. Mind you, I'm so bloody gigantic that 10lbs is a bit of a drop in the ocean! I'm not stressing about it though, I don't pressure myself with goals or mini-goals because I know myself too well - my mind reacts with reverse psychology - if I set a goal and don't reach it I'll reach for the Pinot, followed by a large Cadbury's whole nut. Obviously I have a goal to lose weight, but I'm working on "landmarks" - the first one will be when I drop a dress size. Again no stress, no pressure. I spent a small fortune on new clothes just before Xmas as I'd gone up yet another size, so I figure that until I go down one size, at least I'm getting my money's worth on the new stuff. Losing weight is an uphill struggle for most people - if it wasn't then we wouldn't be here in the first place. Adding to the struggle with internal pressures to see any notable difference or for clothes to feel looser or to suddenly be able to run 5 miles when you have enough trouble getting up the stairs makes it even more difficult for me.

We were all patient enough when it came to actually doing something about it. I was very patient for about 9 years getting fatter and fatter. Now I've just got to use the same patience while I'm getting rid of it!

I do think its hard to see a difference in our own weight loss, people can tell you that you do look slimmer but it is hard to see it.

i think the best way to notice any changes is to take measurements once a month and taking photos front and side views. I hate having my photo taken, so find it hard, but I take them and don't look apart from a quick glance to see they are clear. I will compare after my next monthly photo and hopefully see a change

I've lost a stone and this week have really started to notice a difference in myself. My stomach and hips feel much smaller and my trousers are getting baggy (brilliant on one hand but also annoying as I only bought a brand new pair of skinny jeans five weeks ago and now they're all baggy...) It suppose it depends how much you have to lose as to how long it takes to notice a difference. I find that the place I least want the weight to go is the place it leaves first! My legs have never really been fat but that's where I'm losing most of the weight! My boobs and belly are the places I most want to shrink but they take forever!

It took me about 1.5 stone to notice a difference and even now that's only my coat that's not so tight on me! I think because I really should have been buying a bigger clothes size they actually fit better now. I reckon my face looks slimmer and people tell me they can see I've lost weight. It's nice and spurs me on a bit more

I'd definitely do as Jenn said and take photos - I used to do this wearing clothes that were relatively tight fitting, or in my underwear so that a side-by-side comparison of the photos would easily show where I was losing weight. My friend did the same in a t-shirt, but as she started losing weight, the shirt got baggier and it was harder to do the comparison!

I'm starting on Monday. If my clothes are feeling looser after 3 days , i'm going to be doing some inelegant celebratory cartwheels to celebrate! ;)

ive been on sw almost 8 weeks now i think, lost 1st2lbs, ive managed to get in a pair of old jeans and another pair of jeans feels looser, i didnt start to measure until the 27th of january but since then ive lost 9cm around waist,8cm on hips and 6cm on chest.
On monday my c said she see a difference, and my hubby sais he see a difference but other than getting into jeans i cant really see it yet

At first no, but this week I have noticed my jeans feeling baggy and I am not so bloated! My polo tops for work don't feel so tight this week either - slow and steady will win the race!

I have noticed that my coat is looser already. Im about 7 weeks in and have lost 19lbs so far. Felt less bloated within a few days of starting. Going to take measurements this afternoon as forgot to do that at the beginning.

I agree about the bloating. Just two weeks in (6lbs lighter) my work trousers felt a little looser and my skinny jeans felt a bit baggier around my bum and thighs. I am certain that this was debloating as a result of not eating the mountain of bread every day that was my previous life.

When I lost a fair bit with WW years ago I think it was around the 1.5-2 stone mark that other people started to notice.

I agree too about the taking photos. I was so embarrassed about my weight, I refused to be photographed most of the time. And any unwanted photos were quickly deleted. Now I have lost 24 pounds in just 8 weeks, and wish I had at least one for when I get to goal.

I didn't notice till clothes felt slacker. A pair of jeans that felt too tight before Christmas now fits. I noticed a difference when I looked in mirror once I lost 5lbs. However the mirror can be a rubbish guide as some days I feel bigger. :p

Also I am wearing slightly smaller bras. I've got loads in varying back and cup sizes

Hi i have a question for All of you that lost weight, did you ever binge on free food, as in maybe have a bowl of pasta for dinner and then three more before you fall asleep, of course with the third plate of super free food.
I have been doing slimming world for three weeks, with no syns but binge on my dinners which are all free foods. I only lost 2 lb and stayed at that for the last two weeks :(

I've now been on plan for 7 weeks and I've lost just over a stone.. (Next weigh in is Wednesday).. I can definitely tell the difference in my clothes and I feel a lot more comfortable already! I have about another 3 stone to lose so hopefully I'll keep seeing the changes.

I've also taken progress pics and the difference is pretty good considering I've only lost a stone! I'm feeling good already :) .. I will post my pics when I've completed my journey! Hopefully within the next 5/6 months!
