    Help with going it alone

Hi all, just looking for some advice.

My baby girl arrived 10 weeks ago and I need to get focused on some sort of diet. I have around 5 stones to lose ideally! I'm a bit of a serial dieter and have tried everything from Cambridge, WW, 5:2, calorie counting and everything in between. I did the best on Cambridge and lost 3 stones around 3 years ago but it's really not sustainable and there's no way I could do it nowadays. I joined SW pre-pregnancy and did ok but I wasn't really putting as much effort in as I should have. I did have a hell of a lot of posts on here but i can't remember my old username or password

Anyway I'm considering giving it another go. I can't attend a group as the one close to me isn't at a convenient time I know the basic rules of the extra easy plan and I'm thinking of doing it myself from home.

I know the key to success for me is meal planning. I cook from scratch but now I have a baby I'm a bit strapped for time. Does anyone have any ideas of stuff which is quick and easy for breakfast and lunch? Usually I'd have fruit and fibre with 1% milk and something like cous cous or noodles/pasta n sauce packet for lunch. Also plenty of milky coffees through the day so I'd rather use my healthy extra for this than with cereal.

Also how many syns do you get a week? I really can't remember!

I am not breastfeeding so can just follow the normal plan any other tips for doing it at home would be great!

I've found that support networks, such as MiniMins, have been crucial to my past Slimming World success, particularly because I didn't go to group. There are always people looking for 'buddies' to share their weight loss journey with! As with most things in life, it's nice to have someone to share things with.

As far as I know (at least with the UK SW Plan) you get between 5-15 syns a day, and shouldn't fall below a minimum of 5 syns a day.

I have a lot extra time on my hands since moving from the UK to USA, so I usually make proper meals for lunch, but when I'm just not in the mood for cooking, I make jacket potatoes with any filling I can think of, or chop up any veg that might be coming up to the end of it's life and throw it in a pan with some pasta. There are LOADS of great websites with SW friendly recipes - just one example: Slimming World Recipes - goodtoknow

I hope it all works out for you!
