Sweet treat yes or no

I've only just re-started SW and have been reading up on syns and so on. Now I want a creme egg. It's not that many syns but it might make me want another. Do most folk just have the odd sweet treat or try and avoid sweet things altogether in case they can't stop at one. Thanks.

I'd have one, if you don't then it'll be all you think about+feel deprived then possibly binge on a lot more.

Thanks Rae. I will get one but not a pack of six as I'm the only one in the house that eats them!.

I have found Curly Wurly's do the trick for me, they are 6 syns each. So if I have a chocolate craving it's not too damaging!!

You might find the longer you wait, the less you want one. Or if you really want one have one that's what syns are for. I have a tendency to binge as well so I try to stay away

I have some chocolate every day BUT I only buy one bar at a time. I love chocolate so much and one Crème Egg wouldn't be enough for me. If I craved chocolate I'd eat the whole box. I've been buying one bar a day and when it's gone it's gone! If I had more willpower I'd buy in bulk and treat myself to a bit each day but I fear I'm too greedy...

Do you have shops in walking distance to you? If so, go and buy one and walk there, then you'll only be able to eat one but you'll feel slightly saintly for having worked a little bit of it off before you've started - that's my logic anyway! I always find if I don't allow myself a bit of what I fancy, it annoys me for a few days and then I'll cave in and have more than I would have!

Could you maybe put it in the fridge for a bit so it takes longer to eat?

Noooo!!! Never put a Crème Egg in the fridge!! It spoils it's gorgeousness!! Not that I ever sample these sorts of things...:innocent0002:

Oh really? Oops, sorry! I'm not a chocolate fan - only eat white, but always put it in there to harden, *bows head in shame*
Your halo is still very much in tact :)

If you really want it and it's within your syns for the day, have it, eat it slowly and enjoy it!

I agree with the idea of going out and buying just one. I tend to find leaving my treat for later in the day is best because then you don't get tempted again before bedtime!

I have a Freddo bar or similar most days, and buy them in packs of 6. There was a time when I couldn't have trusted myself to stop at one, so I would send OH to the corner shop to buy just one. Syns are for those little extras- and if you need a Crème egg, treat yourself :D

Certainly having a creme egg. But only one. I like them when they've been in the fridge as they seem to last longer!

I have chocolate or another sort of sweet treat every day, I use up my remaining syns and spend them on this sort of thing. But I wait till the end of the day, curled up on the sofa with a brew and my chosen treat. Rather than quickly munching it at some random point in the day, I make it really feel like a treat and savour it. My fave at the moment is Lindt dark choc as you get quite a bit for your syns and as it's so rich it's really satisfying.

I have treated myself to a dairy milk or two but bought the multipack so they're a bit smaller. Can you get a bag of mini cream eggs? Or would the rest of the bag be too tempting?! I find choc and fudge alpen bars satisfy the chocolate craving for fewer syns or a 'highlights' hot choc, the fudge flavour is yummy and only 2 syns. A rich tea biscuit dunked in my tea only 2 syns or (much preferred) choc digestive for 4 1/2. I love biscuits!
