Sw re-joining

Hi Folks, I joined Sw 3/4 weeks ago and not got off to a great start. I also feel like my leader wasn't very helpful when I text her. I want to move meetings but want to re-join like a fresh start. Don't care that I'll have to pay a joining few again. Do you know if I can just join brand new at a different meeting if I'm still a member at another? X

Once you've become a member you can go to any group you wish. Seems a waste to pay the re-join fee again, you could find another group and ask to sit through the new member talk again? So it will feel like a fresh start and perhaps the new member talk will help to motivate and inspire you. Although they probably won't object to you wanting to pay more! Hehe.

It's important to find the group that best suits you, I am sure once you find your perfect group that will help you no end.

Do you not like the group at all or was it the text that has swayed it for you? Is it nothing you could talk to your leader about? Tell her your concerns? I do agree, if you go to group you have to feel comfortable

Yes you can stop and sign up again. Or you can even move group and to wipe your slate clean, so you start all over again. A couple of girls in my group have really struggled to get back on track since Christmas, so have wiped the slate clean and started fresh again, so it can be done. Good luck xx

You can just change groups without having to rejoin and pay to join again - I had to change nights due to work commitments and the new consultant just asked me to confirm that I wanted to change groups permanently rather than attend as a guest. I do online now but you have to feel comfortable with your group or you won't get the benefit from it.

Sorry to jump in, but I'm going to have to change groups soon as my husband is starting a new job and will be working on Saturdays. I am gutted as I like my group, but my 2 year old is unlikely to sit nicely through IMAGE therapy lol.

I will be mid-way through a countdown when this change happens. will that matter regards switching groups permanently? And do you have to do it officially (ie change your WI day with SW) or can I just rock up and decide that Tuesdays are my WI day now?

Hi tell your new consultant when you go in that you are changing groups permantly and can she make sure the swap is done on the computer. It won't matter that you are in the middle of a countdown when you swap. However you need to make sure they change your home group to your new group so you can buy countdown and book holidays from there. I would also tell your old consultant out of politeness and also she has to let you go from her group on the computer.

Yes I'll be telling him, but I've got another month until I need to switch yet so I'll make the most of it.
