Biggest gain over a week when off plan?

Hi everyone

I've been very very off plan :( and I mean off plan I have no idea why but kept telling myself I'll start again tommorow whilst eating tumps of junk some times I felt just for the sake of it :( argh!

I'm absolutely terrified at getting on the scales now lol so I was just wondering what's a realistic amount of actual weight gained? Im expecting a pretty big gain especially due to the salt I've eaten so fingers crossed it's majoritly water :)

Any advice and experiences are realllllllly appreciated :) thank you!

I've only ever gained 3ish pounds when I've had a week off! It has slowed my loss down but its easy to get going again. I panicked when I went to Amsterdam for 3 days...eating all sorts of pastries- I only put 1lb on!
I think we imagine it will be a lot worse than it actually is. Just get straight back on the wagon and you'll be fine :) the key for me is to not criticise myself too much because a negative attitude can make things worse. Just say "ok, that was a slip up, but it's done now". Works for me :) hope this helps.

It's too late now to worry about how much, if anything, you've gained, what's done is done. It's best to learn from the situation, you say you've no idea why you kept eating crap, have you thought of writing down why you want to lose weight.

Did you end up counting the syns you had, have you thought of making yourself a syn box, with lots of low syn treats so you don't feel deprived.

Have you planned your meals, try & put in some of your favourite meals but make the SW friendly.

And I do go off plan but always start back on SW at the earliest opportunity, whether its the next meal or the next day.

Have a look around here, read the diaries & recipes for ideas on keeping you in control & on plan;)

The most I've ever put on is 5 over a 2 week holiday to France though I'm sure if I went badly off plan on a normal week I could easily do that in a week. As said - you need to look at why you've gone off plan (I used to have a bad day then not get back into it till next weigh in - just compounds the problem).

Good luck - hope its better than you think its gonna be

Hi there,

I put on 9lbs in ten days over Christmas BUT within 2 or 3 days of being good I had lost 6lbs of it, and the rest within a week or so. Big gains are mostly water, and quickly dealt with IF you get back on track - just don't let it 'settle'!!

Most I put on was 3 lb over two week holiday, So don't get to disheartened it prob won't be as much as u think x

It was a 5lb gain but I was imagining much much worse so I think it's a bit of a positive and I've circled it in red in my book as a big reminder not to binge like a pig again haha!
