Hi guys. So I have decided to do slimming world from home. But I'm still a bit confused about red days and green days (think i understand EE)!
So on a red day you can eat as much meat and veg as you want but not carbs unless they are you HEB (you get 2 on red and green days) or sin it. You also get two HEA?
If you are on green you eat lots of pasta rice salad veg etc but not meat? Can you use meat as a HEB? Or is it just fish?

I also don't really understand superfree foods are they mainly veg that you should fill up on?

Thanks for your help! Hope I've posted in the right place :S

If you're jsut starting out I would advise you to get used to the EE plan first - get all of that straight in your head for a few weeks and see how your losses are. If they're good then you can carry on, if not then you can look at the other plans.

You have the right idea about the plans though.

Red days are protein heavy, so no counting of lean meats and fish. 2 x HEBS which include beans, potatoes, lentils, pasta, rice, starchy veg (Sweetcorn, plantain) etc. These have to be measured out. You also have your usual cereals, bread and oil available as HEBS. You also have two HEAS.

Green plan is more carb heavy. So, pasta, rice potatoes, lentils, beans, starchy veg etc are all free foods. Your HEBS are lean meats and fish, cheese, cereals, bread etc and you get to use two of these. Again they must be measured. Then 2 x HEAS. In theory on green you could eat 4 x lots of cheese. Hmmmmm. Cheese.

Superfree should still make up a third of every meal and are most vegetables (with the exception of the starchy ones as previously mentioned) and fruits. The theory is that you fill up of brussel sprouts so you can't manage quite so much roast chicken. ;)

That is such a simple way of putting the other plans. I have always found them too confusing before but maybe a few red days after a bad weekend might tide me over till weigh in.

Thank you.

Your consultant will sit down and go through all the options and how the plan works with you at your first meeting.

I reccomend starting on EE, and then depending on your lifestyle, weight loss, etc, either sticking tot hat or moving to one of the various other plans, Red, Green, Original, Success Express, etc. But of course your consultant will be able to walk you through all those schemes.

I haven't actually joined slimming world yet as I want to try it first and see if it works for me so don't have a consultant yet. Thanks for all the advice I understand it a bit better now and think I will carry on on EE for now :)
