Feel guilty

Hi all

I've been doing sw on and off for years and I know I can eat as much free food as I like but I just feel really guilty when I've eaten a big mound of food.

I usually only eat once a day but making myself eat more.

Can't stand breakfast so usually just have coffee, for lunch today I had ham slices, boiled egg and some pickled onions then a massive stir fry for dinner. Now I've finished I just feel really bad and guilty at the sheer amount I've eaten :(

Does anyone else every feel like this?

I found I was trying to 'keep up' with slimmingworld portions and just making myself feel sick and stuffed.

Just little mini snacks n meals keep me feeling more comfortable and less ****!!

No - I don't waste time on guilt. It doesn't improve any situation.

You don't have anything to feel guilty about - murder, embezzlement, saying nasty things about your friends? Nope, thought not.

The idea of free food is that you can eat as much as you need to feel comfortably full, but not overeat. And the Superfree is there to fill you up and control the amount of free food without you really noticing too much.

I see that you had no Superfree (no vegetables or fruit) at lunchtime. Apart from the pickled onions - were they one-third of your plate (maybe they were, but that seems like an awful lot of pickled onions to me!!).

And were there lots of vegetables in your stir fry? You can't feel guilty about eating vegetables!

I am not a breakfast person either and although people do go on about breakfast being so important, I just don't believe it really matters that much. Any talk about "kick-starting the metabolism" is, to my mind, nonsense. If my metabolism needed starting in the morning, what was it doing all night??

I do, however, have a sort of elevenses - usually fruit and yogurt. Sometimes porridge. Sort of breakfast, but just not at breakfast time!

Give yourself a break, save the guilt for when you do something really awful, and enjoy your food!

Thanks for the replies.

I mainly do red days as I never seem to lose on ee.

I must admit I'm not a big fan of veg or salad but trying to get a bit better. But doing a red day I find it hard to find 'snacks' so I usually have fruit throughout the day.

Lunch was 1 egg, 2 slices of ham, 10 onions and pineapple after.

Dinner 1 chicken breast, whole bag of bean sprouts (I LOVE these) spring onion, chilli, garlic, and thinly sliced carrot
