    New to slimming world - group discussion for men

    Hi there,

    I have just in the last 2 weeks commenced my quest on slimming world.

    wondering if there are like minded men out there to share ideas and seek advice?

    I have been watching this with interest to see if you would get any replies. Don't take it too personally that you haven't - I think the thing is that there are a number of men on this forum, but the things they want to know, the issues they discuss, etc., are no different from the women. In fact, unless there is a particular reason to do so, I don't usually notice the gender of the writer.

    We are all just people with a common interest and goal. So just join in. We don't bite - well sometimes we do, but not often!

    My OH is doing SW with me. As said above, I don't think there's much difference between men and women doing SW. The only thing I've found is my OH is too lazy to look through the stuff and is constantly asking how many points something is!!
    Currently Pregnant with baby number two - due May 2015

    Total Weight Loss: 3st1.5lb
    Weight to Lose: -0st1.5lb
    % Lost 18.91%
    Theres not much difference between men/women in regards to the discussions and what info is needed.

    The only differences are as follows
    1) No star weeks
    2) We can get a higher allowance of Syns
    3) Due to 2) we tend to lose weight faster when following the plan. (not always the case)

    Hi All.
    I have been on SW since 2011 & have now been at target for almost 12 months!
    I also lost weight quicker than the other members of my group, most weeks it was 3lbs.... I started at 18st 11.5lbs and now I am 11st 11.5lbs. good luck to all!

    Total Weight Loss: 5st3.5lb
    % Lost 31.48%
    There's not much different apart from the higher allowance on syns.. As above I tend to lose it quicker than others at group. My average is 2.5lbs a week. I'm currently just over half way through my quest to lose 4 stone and I joined in jan.. (See my stats)

    Week 9 - 12 = 10lb lost.
    Week 13 - 16 = 8.5lb lost.
    Week 17 - 20 = 9.5lb lost.
    Week 21 - 24 = 8.5lb lost.

    Total loss 4st 1lb... TARGET
