Hey guys, I'll try to keep it short and sweet...
•Lost chunks of weight in the past but it always creeps back on

•Put on 2 stone since my wedding in June

•So joined a slimming world class in Jan 2014 (done it at home before with success) But I find it difficult to stick to it 100% so I have only lost 4.5lb in 10weeks
•Im finding it hard to say no to temptation these days!
Please help me find my motivation and will power!

Hi Sammie
Good luck with your sw journey!
I too am a bit of a yo-yo, put on two stone since my 21st birthday. I turn 24 this time and would like to shed some of this weight!
I see where you are coming from, its hard to say no and make sensible choices! But everytime I do I feel good about it so that helps. Could try the usual unflattering pics in the kitchen, not buying junk in and really focusing on what your goal is and why you want to get there. I have an ever extending list of why im on sw that I can refer to when will power is low!

Hi, I too am a yo yo-er! Lost weight for my wedding 13 years ago, gained and lost after each of my two children but since starting my teaching degree I too have gained 2 stone. Really want to lose it before I graduate this summer! I find putting a pic of what you used to look lie / want to look like helps with motivation. I've just bought my dress for the graduation ball and have it hung at the front of my wardrobe to motivate me. Good luck with your journey xx

I also have a love /hate relationship with the scales! Lost weight after I graduated uni, met my husband to be, then it slowly went back on, particularly after I started teaching as stress has always really affected me. Lost quite a bit for my wedding last year but now put that back on. Now trying again by setting myself realistic goals and really thoroughly planning my meals. Starting the nhs couch to 5k tomorrow so will see how that goes! Good luck on your journey.

Thanks for replying guys!
it's nice to get some support from people in the same situation

I have also joined a 2 stone in 10 weeks challenge on here in hope to push me

My plan this week is to write everything down, stick to a max of 10 syns a day and try not to have any sweet/sugary stuff
Anyone else have a plan for the week?

I find writting everything down really helps. Also I try and avoid having the same meal twice in a fortnight as I get bored! Am off work this week so plan is to try some new ideas! Made up a venison sausage (on offer in tesco and very low syn) casserole tonight with mash and did a SW version of sea food paella on Friday. Don't be too quick to avoid everything sweet, especially if you have a sweet tooth and would normally have something. I find it a lot easier if I have planned a sweet treat into my syns. Like today I made SW meringues and had them with fresh fruit and yoghurt (4.5 syns ee) or may have a funsize bag of malteasers (5syns). This really helps as I don't feel like I am denying myself - this has been my pit fall in the past.

good luck this week!!

I do have a sweet tooth but once I have a taste of something sweet I just keep craving the next snack and the next snack!

When I reduce my sweet foods and focus on savoury foods I tend to snack less and stay fuller for longer.

Also I read that if you eat something sugary you body has to burn off the sugar first before it even touches the fat in your body.
Good luck with your meal variety this week
