Healthy extras and gluten free products

I'm looking for advice before I decide whether or not to do SW. What is the situation with gluten free breads as HEs? I know that BFree Multigrain Wraps are included as a HE, but what about wholemeal or seeded gluten free bread? The main problem I'm having with WW is that on filling and healthy none of the gluten free breads out there count.

Would be interested to hear from any other gluten-free people who do SW as to how compatible you find it.

I don't follow a gluten-free diet, but on the SW website there is a whole feature on following the plan while gluten free. It includes a list of gluten-free healthy extras (bread, crackers, etc) with brand names, so it sounds as if it should be doable!

Oh I'm glad you can do gluten free on SW :) I was wondering, I start on Monday.

I an intolerant to gluten and there are lots of options available for the HeB. Personally I don't eat GF bread as I don't like the taste but I do eat the BFree wraps. There are not many named GF cereals to choose from but on our HeB list it does specify that we can have 35g of a suitable cereal made from corn or rice, so that gives us some options. Once you join and get your on-line access you will get a full list of HeBs. I have successfully lost weight every single week and I am now only 3.5 pounds away from target so SW is compatible with being gluten free. One word of warning though, your consultant may not be able to give you much information themselves, mine certainly was not very helpful but the SW website has everything that you need to know.

I hope that helps!

Thanks everyone. What is the deal with things like quinoa and lentils? Are they allowed or do they have to be counted as syns?

They are both free on Extra Easy (and Green plan - but not on Original plan)

Yup they are free!

Dried pasta is free so you can have the gluten free pasta.

Thanks
