How to maintain????
I'm looking a little bit of advice. I reached my target of 8st 7lbs 2 weeks ago. (i was totally delighted) I weighed myself yesterday and i now weigh 8st 1lb. i don't know how to maintain my weight. I can't go back to eating how i did before or i will put the weight back on again, but if i continue to follow slimming world, i will keep losing weight, and i don't want to lose anymore. I can't find any advice on the slimming world website and i never went to group. any advice welcome
The general advice is to increase your HEs. Keep your syn allowance the same but try having an extra HE every other day. If you're still losing, try an extra HE every day. That's what my Consultant advised. I reached target a year ago and maintained for a few weeks, then suddenly lost 5lb. Since then I've lost a further stone without really trying to lose weight but it has levelled off now. Maintaining is harder than losing!!
I think slimming world recommend upping your healthy extras when you reach target and maybe a few extra syns. From what I can gather its a little bit of trial and error to find a happy medium for you that stops you losing and prevents you from gaining. X
Did you not get a slim for life booklet from your consultant? That explains it and there is info on the sw website too. Try the features section and the target members area. Basically if you are still losing add an additional healthy extra each day and see what happens come weigh in. Carry on adding another each week until you start to level out. It's not recommended that you increase your syns. xx
thanks everyone. i was doing slimmign from home so i didn't get the slim for life booklet. i will up my HE's and see how that goes. 2 rounds of 400g wholemeal bread really isn't enough, so i'm delighted i can have a little more :-)
