If there is no free food in it then it is 1 syn to every 20 calories. If it does have free food in it and isn't on the site you can put in all the nutritional values and that it has free food in and it will work it out for you.
Basically if it's a food with no free food allowance, something like cake/crisps/chocolate it's 1 syn per 20 calories.

I believe there is a calculator on the website if you are a member though I am not so don't know how it works! I think its quite accurate though and takes into account free food content etc.
For treats/choc the general rule is 20cals=1syn....

Oh, I should say - don't choose a food group as a free food allowance if there's only a smidgeon of it in the product - it's got to have a fair amount of it - I believe it should be listed 1st, 2nd or 3rd on the ingredients listed on the pack.
