What Days do you all prefer doing? Red, Green, Extra Easy or a mix

I started SW on 7th April. First WI lost 7lb. This week scales don't seem to be moving (I know its not Monday yet so hoping I can change this).
I've been following extra easy again this week but feel I have ate more than last week as husband and kids are off school. Just wondering if you follow extra easy all week or mix your days up? Any advice is much appreciated :)

I am vegetarian so do Green days all the time - the extra hexes are a plus!

I love the Red plan so tend to do that 90% of the time.

Make sure you have your superfree third on EE plan, and snack on the superfree too. xx

I've only been a member of SW since Monday and I've learnt about EE. So I will stick with EE for now, I love the foods I've been eating, will see Monday if I'm losing any weight on it!

Thank you all :)

I'm giving red day a go today. Totally forgot that you get the extra Hex a +b which is def a bonus!! My Sister lost a lot years ago doing red and green so am hoping I can get to grips with it them days as well as I did extra easy. When you read everything it seems geared towards the extra easy so thought maybe that was the way to go. Do you find you loose more weight doing a particular 'day'?

I find ee very difficult. Green/red I love. .the extra hex allowances really help :)

I'm a veggie and I do Green and Red days, my OH just does EE. I've lost 6 st and he's lost 4.5 st. I usually do Red days when I want an extra push and to give it a bit of a mix up. I do lose slightly more doing red days but I also crave carbs so I tend to do it alternative days so I can have my rice, mash, pasta etc on green days without having to syn it. x

I started with EE and lost steadily then converted to the dark side (vegetarianism) and exclusively Green days. I have still had steady losses BUT I find they are bigger and I'm experiencing less STS and (touch wood) far fewer gains. Obviously that's "so far" and I have no doubt I will plateau and find it hard at some stage - probably helped in no small part by the Lindt cookies and cream Easter egg the Easter bunny will be bringing me Sunday as a reward for the lent abstinence challenge hehe

Wow well done to you both!! That's a great weight loss! Thanks for sharing your tip for loosing slightly more. Red days it is :D

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I always have this plan of 'I need to be such and such weight by a certain date' but as long as I lose eventually I don't mind. Also because I lost 7lb in 1st week I feel like its not working this week as only seems to be 1/2lb on scales (hoping to make it 1lb by Monday :fingerscrossed:) But 1lb off is better than a gain.

Enjoy your Easter Egg. I gave in and ate choc last night. Felt really guilty - but its just one day and back to it today. I've never done that before, would always say "oh well I've ruined it may as well carry on eating crap and start again Monday"

To be honest I think it's too early to be thinking about changing plans. I would chuck the scales, stop the sneaky peeking as its completely inaccurate anyway, and just focus on following extra easy as best you can for at least the first four weeks. Also second week is notorious for poor losses or even gains. You lost a lot of weight in week one so its only naturally that your body might react by holding on to everything it gets. So just relax a bit! Aim for a pound a week, some weeks you'll get more, others less and some you'll sts or eve gain. That's just the way it goes I'm afraid xx

I tried SW some years ago and really couldn't get on with it at all. This time when I joined there was EE and what a difference this has made. Now I am 2 stone lighter and feeling I could eat like this forever. I really don't like the restrictions with Red and Green and love EE. It's funny how we all like different plans. PS - I STS the second week, nothing at all to be worried about, you will carry on losing, so I agree with the previous poster, I wouldn't worry too much about trying to change plans until this is firmly stuck in your head. HTH :D

I have followed SW on and off over many, many years. I always did a mixture of green and red days, mostly green because I love carbs! But even way back then, I knew I personally lost weight better on red days, long before I was even aware of low carb dieting. I used to have my fill of carbs all week and then have 1 or 2 days of red before weighing!
So, even in more recent years since the introduction of EE, I have still stuck to red and green and try to have more red as I find now for whatever reason, I have real trouble losing with green days. Perhaps a combination of age and many years of dieting.....I don't know?

Last week I rejoined a class and have decided to try and embrace EE with a view of more 'normal' eating! I am varying it with red days

Thanks for your advice. You're right. It is too early to be worrying. I should be trying to get my head around EE.

I do green, I'm very fussy with veg so 1/3 is hard, and I found red hugely expensive

I prefer EE at the moment, the meals are more family friendly so we're not making different meals for everyone. I don't have big losses on any plan though, I'm the slow and steady sort.

I agree with others, I wouldn't be worrying just yet, 7lb in one week is a huge loss and even if you did stay the same this week, it'd still be an average of 3.5lbpw, which is excellent. Look at your loss over the month, as weekly things fluctuate so much. x

I did SW years ago, and couldn't get on with it. Well I could get on with it but I did mostly green days and didn't lose any weight due to the huge plates of pasta.

I tried EE with much trepidation but am losing slowly, but more importantly I don't feel deprived and can see myself eating like this once I get to target.
