I rejoined SW on new years eve and have really enjoyed going to group etc, my consultant is brilliant but I am struggling so much at the moment. I stick to plan and lose weight one week, then I gain it all back the next, I don't want to yoyo and feel like I am wasting £4.95 every week. It's nobody's fault but my own and now I am debating about leaving SW and just eating clean here at home :( I feel like such a failure, would you keep at it if you were me?

Your not a failure. If it's not working for you then it's not working. My friend was like this with weight watchers so switched to SW and it's working for her. You need to find something that works for you.
My husband calorie counts as that works for him.

Personally after years of yo yo dieting and going from one club to the next and giving up and rejoining, I finally promised myself in November that enough was enough and I was rejoining slimming world for the final time and I was never leaving.
It's been a long hard battle but I got to target of 8'9 yesterday with my very original starting weight being 14'2. I wish wish wish I had stuck to it the very first time I joined because I've had years of misery stressing about my weight.
I totally understand your frustration - I've been there but trust me it'll get easier and you'll feel so much better and healthier in the long run if you carry on. Best of luck. X

When you say you are on plan and lose weight one week and gain the next do you gain because you eat too much? Or are you on plan 100% and gaining?

I think if you're gaining because you're going off plan then you need to refocus your motivation. It might be the right decision to leave SW but with any form of weight loss you try you will need to address the yo-yo aspect or else it will continue no matter what you try.

Don't give up, write a weekly food diary & show it to your consultant who might find out why you are not loosing weight as you want. All of us have weight gains & losses, that's life! Give it longer to work....

Hi I've rejoined slimming world and weight watchers more times than hot dinners and followed the plans 100%. I am still the weight I was when I started losing a couple of pounds then putting back on. My sw leader and ww leader saw my diaries and could work it out but in the end I left the club's because it wasn't working for me. I then tried 5:2 DIET for an experiment and it kicked started my weight loss again. Since beg of April I have lost 11 lbs in weight. However, I had to tweak the diet and control my feast days by doing g slimmingworld as it the best plan out there. I was simply eating too much Carbs and fruit. My idea of moderation was big bowl of rice 4 bananas a day lots of apples etc. I actually forgot how much i was eating and found that 5:2 help me see that. It is not for everybody but it helped me get back in touch with what my body actually wanted. Apples tasted so sweet and my portion sizes had been out of control. It also made realise when I was really hungry and now I feel that eventually I will go back to my Sw class. As I said the diet I discovered worked for took the best bits and made it personal for me. I would examine the elements that have worked and look at your portions and find out by experimenting what works for your body. Maybe you need to binge out occasionally and a calorie reduction diet might cover those binge, then do Sw the rest of the time.

You need to ask yourself why you lose one week & gain the next, is it because you don't always follow the plan & if so why not?

I'm assuming here you gain because you go off plan!

What causes you to go off plan, work, stress, cba'd, boredom? these are issues you need to address not look for another weight loss programme, will 'clean eating' work, will it fit in with you, will whatever is causing you to go off plan disappear.

You need to provide us with more info so we can help. At the end of the day we are all here on minis to lose weight it doesn't matter how we go about it but we support each other in achieving our goal.
