Extra Easy I can't help thinking "Can Extra Easy really work?"

Lots of people have. SW wouldn't have it as a plan if it didn't work. On the other hand, some people prefer the red or green plans. You have a choice.

As Anna says trust the plan hun. I've stuck to extra easy and ive lost consistently well with it :) Good luck on your journey.

I've only been doing SW for about 3 months now and i've only ever done extra easy (because i havent quite got my head around the whole red/green day thing lol) and i've lost a stone and a half so far with consistently even losses each week. Have faith in the plan :D x

I have been doing extra easy since I started because I was simply too lazy to learn the red and green days plan. I figured if EE slows down or stops working for me I will put in the effort to find out about the other plans. I have not needed to bother because I have lost consistently.

I have lost most if my weight with ee it's only the last few months I have done a few green days and that is normally when I have something vegetarian for my main meal. It does work, as other people have said just look round this forum

the majority of people on SW use Extra Easy and see very good losses asusming they follow the plan.

The biggest tip i can give, is that just because you can eat something in unlimited amounts, doesn't mean you should. The people who tend to have problems usually eat huge amounts of free food because it's free rather than eating smaller and more balanced meals.

Amen to that! Sometimes we all like to think we are special cases and a plan doesn't work for us. Truth is, it might not work psychologically. Physically if we were all locked away and force fed the same amount of calorie restricted food each day, we'd all lose weight, albeit at different rates due to body composition, unless you have a rare physical disorder. I'd love to think I've broken the laws of physics and manage to get fat despite hardly eating, but I'd be fooling myself. SW only works long term if you let it change your eating habits to normal size meals, regular meals and healthy snacking only if hungry. Eating ridiculous portions or snacking or food that's really a meal will not lead to weight loss. Not because SW doesn't work, but because common sense failed.

I started SW 3 weeks ago, and I'm doing EE. I don't know anything about the other plans.

I was sceptical too about EE, wondering how unlimited free foods would help me to lose weight. But I followed the plan to the letter and my first week I lost 4lbs and my second 3.5lbs and got my half stone award. I was astonished, I've never been one to lose more than 2lbs a week, usually I lose 1lb a week. So to lose an average of 4lbs so far is crazy, and I feel like I've eaten too much food for a 'diet'.

But SW isn't a diet, it's a healthy way of eating. And as others have said, because foods are free and unlimited it means that you can eat them when you are truly hungry and stop when you are comfortably full. If you comfort eat when you feel depressed for example, and not physically hungry, and keep eating until you are stuffed rather than comfortably full then you will encounter problems and weight gain.

But yes if you get hungry at midnight then you can eat! If you get hungry in between meals you can eat! SW heavily suggest that you snack on superfree foods first ie fruits and vegetables rather than choosing synned foods straight away.

Good luck, give the plan a go, and if you follow it to the letter then I fully expect you'll lose weight. You might get bloated/constipated initially that might mean you don't lose weight in the first week or so, but don't worry if that happens, your body will adjust.

Thank you everyone for your kind and encouraging messages. I am feeling excited and committed to EE now hearing all about your great losses! I hear your advice on portion control. Just put a third of my pasta I was about to eat for lunch back in the fridge and feel perfectly satisfied! I've been at SW since last September and only ever done EE... I'm hoping to get my 4st award on Friday so I'd say it works!

Good luck x

Thank you :)

You can start a thread here for your food diary

I only do EE it's the only plan I know being new to SW. However I have lost 3 stone in just under 4 months- so yes, it definitely works for me.

Exactly the same, Ive lost 1lb shy of 1.5 stone in 3 months doing mostly EE.

I think I've done one red day and one green day in that time, only because I realised I had actually eaten those days towards the end of the days and thought YAY more healthy extras lol. 99% of the time I stick to EE because it doesn't require as much thinking on my part as co-ordinating red and green. I remember once thinking I could call my EE day a red day after all as I hadn't had any carbs - then opened the oven and remembered that I was in the middle of cooking SW chips - doh. So for me EE is safer lol.

Thank you for helping me RM7, I have started my diary thread now! I guess you just keep adding to that same thread every day right?

Does anyone know how do you add a link to your food diary?

Karren W- 3 stone weight loss is amazing! Well done! :) YOu are all such an inspiration. I feel EXCITED that I may have found a diet that does not involve counting and one I think I can stick to for a long time.
Will I finally get to my target weight?-After 48 years of being overweight, it would feel so good to be in control of food, instead of it controlling me!!!

Hi Snozzberry,

Well done for your great weight loss so far. Yes, I know what you mean, the EE is definitely easier in terms of remembering what you can and can't have. You made me laugh about the chips lurking in the oven!
I kept getting confused with red and EE. I'd often start on red in the day and end up on EE! If I can get the balance right on EE I will be more than happy as you can actually EAT on this plan. Have spent years counting bloomin' points, calories, carbs, on WW, Dukan, starving, fasting 5:2 etc.yawn yawn. I'd spend hours in the supermarket looking at the back of packets! Crikey, such an effort all the time-I had brain scramble ! I was beginning to not know what to do anymore.

I feel better now. SW feels more "normal" and that it can become a "way of life" not another fad diet I cannot sustain.:)

Extra Easy all the way here too. -6st in 12 months says it works! Trust in the plan, fill up on Superfree where you can and you'll be flying!
