How do you stay focused?

As titled really, how do you all keep yourselves focused?
Im on day 4 and already trying my hardest not to binge on naughty food.

I think about why I want to lose weight. I try to cure 'boredom hunger' by painting my nails or playing a game on my phone or any sort of housework. Of course, like anyone I fall off the wagon from time to time and it's seeing everyone in group being really happy with their losses whilst I'm maintaining/gaining spurs me on to get back on track.

Thank you. Just finding it tough. I'm a first time/stay at home mum to our 8mo DS and I can't keep using post pregnancy as an excuse anymore! I want to do something about my weight but I'm just not motivated enough and don't think I ever will be unless stick to it and start seeing results x

I think once you start losing a few lbs and as you say, seeing the results, you almost get spurred on to continue.

4 days is quite early to be feeling this way, I often find that at the beginning I am really motivated....its later on the rot starts setting in!!

Just try and make it to your 1st weigh in, a day at a time and then hopefully your loss will keep you going after that!!

Magazines , keep your body inspiration as homepage on mobile, write everything down

Bin the junk..if you feel weak.. just keep focused on the next goal

Pop a pound in a jar for every pound. A gorgeous new wardrobe will keep you on track - or if clothes not your thing - holiday money or money towards crafting/spa day/ other non food treat!

I remind myself of why I'm doing it. I don't like the fact I can't go into a shop and buy a pair of jeans, or that I always look terrible in photos! When there's temptation (like the waft of Maccy D's in the office) I look up the syns and think to myself is it worth it or would I rather reach my goal?

If you can, stay for group afterwards. I've found it to be an inspiration to see other people hitting target and getting advice when I've been struggling on something from other members of the group.

I'm doing it from home so you lot are my group and inspiration!
Ive managed to stay on track today, which I'm proud of, that's four days in a row now :) so glad I didn't binge.

For me after my first few weigh ins I was totally hooked on SW. I think it takes a while for you not to want to binge. If you put a chocolate bar in front of me now I'd say no thanks I just don't crave that food anymore.

Group support is excellent always tips and hints. You learn new stuff the whole time. In the beginning I never stayed for group because my confidence was so low .. 3 stone down now and il be first taking my seat for group :D

Keep going, your doing FAB XX

Several things keep me motivated, coming on here & getting support from my lovely mini friends, keeping a diary & taking pics of my food, eating what I fancy, ok so sometimes that is hard as I've to make SW friendly foods but I try, getting back on track at the first opportunity after hols etc, so not the next day/Monday, but the next meal, hiding treats so I can't see them, think that's it for now:D

I also got my ultimate dream size jeans for 50p off eBay. Seeing them hanging on the door everyday keeps me motivated to Whittle off the final bit !

Hi there. I think the hardest time for me was the first 3 or 4 weeks, when my tastebuds were adjusting and I didn't notice any changes in my body. Once I got past that stage I didn't crave the junk food so much and as someone posted earlier you start to ask yourself whether it's worth all those syns. Don't get me wrong I still love crisps (always my weakness) but now if I fancy them then I'll enjoy a packet (not scoff 3 or 4 packets...hangs head in shame) and count the syns. SW has taught me balance ..to enjoy fresh healthy food and enjoy a small amount of naughty treats which I guess is how slim people (those most weird creatures!) keep their weight down! (Crikey listen to me, I sound like cult member!!!)
Keep at it..it's worth it, I promise....particularly when those compliments come pouring in x

Crisps are my weakness too. Instead of a six pack of the most high in cals one out there I now have 1 pack a day always under 100 cal so 4/5 syns! I really look forward to that treat in the evening :)

:) I'm with you..savoury things are my downfall.

I have found planning my snacks helps. Like say pickled onions, a mini tuna salad, Carrot sticks or a Sw treat etc. I stopped buying multi packs of crisps, chocolate or other things like that, as its all temptation and i would end up eating it in bulk lol. If it's not there, then i cant eat it. Planning is defo the key for me. Good Luck :)

I was super focused for 10 weeks, Felt great, lost 10lbs and then had my birthday and a weeks holiday. Although my meals were always on plan, my syns were well over every day. So its back to basics for me for the next 10 weeks lol!
I have a pair of trousers I really wanna wear and that' helped me stay focused up to know (apart from blip).
A great way to keep focused is to go through your wardrobe and pick clothes that are too tight now, then try them on in a week or 2 and you will feel amazing.
