    Slimming World newbie

    Hi everyone,

    I have just signed up online to slimming world and Im looking to start tomorrow. I am looking to lose about a stone and a bit, I am 9 stone 7.5 and 5ft 2 so im not majorly overweight but still would like to get the stone off to make myself feel better! Anyone else done slimming world with only a stone to lose who isnt classed as overweight, but just decided to do it for themselves? Be really interested to know how you have got on.
    Also does anyone still do the alternating of red and green as im thinking this may suit me better.

    Also in terms of syns it says 5-15 are you able to have all 15 and still lose weight?

    I have soooo many questions but I will only start with a couple.

    Sounds good! Well done i hope i can shift some quite quickly i am soooo impatient which is probably where i went wrong before! Im still trying to get my head around how much food you can eat! Do you have to eat exactly as it states i.e if it says have sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms and an orange if you are full after the hot food do you still need to eat the orange for it to work? Xx

    I wish I only had a stone to lose! One of my best friends has joined my class with a stone to lose, she's 5'7 and 10st 8lb. She wants to lose 1st 1lb to get to 9st 7lbs x
    Started SW in January 2014, restarted September 2014.

    1st mini target; get under 19 stone!

    Hi,

    I'm 5ft2 also and whilst I began SW weighin in at over 10st, I am now in your boat... 9st 4 with about a stone to go.

    What I will say is that whilst SW will work for you, the less overweight you are, the slower your losses may be. Stick at it and that stone will soon be gone

    Apr(Holiday): ​-2lb
    May: +3lbs
    (off the wagon!)

    Thats great thanks,did you find it came off quick to start with? Im also on my TOTM at the mo so prob not best time to start as im unsure if its water weight i lose or fat!! X

    I lost 6lbs in first week and then 3lbs for next few. Now I look at about 1-2lbs depending on if I've been good. Totem affects people in different ways, but yeah, don't always take as a true reading.
