Welcome along - it really is a helpful site and loads of subforums. Prepare to become a forum addict! Xx

Welcome on board Bubbles. I'm doing SW at home and I agree with Ellebear - I'm becoming a bit of a forum addict!

i have just joined also, good luck! love the tickers x

I did the majority of my journey online. I've only just joined group. This place is essential for online. It's like having a 24/7 group at your fingertips. My advice would be to join in a challenge to get yourself started :) x

I have a holiday booked for september so thats why i want to hit my two stone target by then but after my holiday i have the motivation to keep going for my 21st in march if target is not hit by then :) x

Hi welcome along. I very quickly migrated from group to going it alone at home. It's not for everyone as you're not accountable to anyone but yourself so as the others have said a challenge is a good way to join others in weighing in each week and keeping you motivated, have a look at the thread Slimming World Teams & Challenges

Failing that, joining the one of the weighing groups which are either by weigh day or I think there is one for people who follow SW at home is good way to share you experiences, spur others along when they are having a bad week and feel part of a group is also a bonus.

Top tips are plan, read, research, write, plan, plan and plan some more. Keeping a food diary right at the very beginning is what will get your through this and help get the SW plan in your head. Knowing in advance what you are going to eat takes all the guess work out of everything. If things go slightly awry, then you have something to look back on to see where adjustments could be made and if you ask for advice through this platform, it's the first thing we will ask about. Following someone else's food diary on here or looking at the threads what's for breakfast, lunch, tea etc or the many, many recipes will certainly help you to avoid the repetition in your diet and expand the variety of things you eat. I hope that will give you somewhere to start and good luck with everything :D

Welcome :) try the month challenges, there's a June on going at the moment x
