    Help Please

Hey I just joined SW and lost 3 1/2 lbs in the first week and the next day I highly exceeded my syns with chocolate and desserts. However I plan on to not having any syns the whole week and excercising. Will I still gain or lose? I'm scared

Don't worry. As you went over so early on in your 'week' I'm sure you'll be fine. The only thing I'd say is don't deprive yourself too much the rest of this week...firstly you slipped up (you're human) and don't need to be 'punished' for it; secondly if you cut out too much to try and make up for that one bad day you may end up feeling so miserable you could easily turn to the chocolate etc again; and thirdly the syns are part of the plan (our consultant keeps telling us). As you're also at the start of your weight loss journey. .I'm sure you'll get away with it. Be kind to yourself, draw a line under it, forget it and just carry on as the plan says for the rest of the week x

I think its a really bad idea to try and go syn free for the week. All it will do is leave you feeling deprived and even more likely to fall off the wagon again. Cut back to a minimum of 5 syns if you really must because then you can still have a few extras. And don't go overboard on the exercise either as that can make you retain fluid, so drink lots of water. But to be honest, second week is notorious for poor losses or even gains, and there's nothing to be scared about that. it's part and parcel of losing weight so try not to get so emotionally invested in what the scales say every week and you'll be more successful xx

No one can say for sure if you will lose, gain or stay the same. All you can do, is try your best.
Try and put whats happened behind you, whats done is done, you cant change that. What you can change though, is how you deal with it and the syn advice above is great advice.
    Good luck!
