I like this
In our group, for the last two weeks, our consultant said we should write a list of reasons - for and against - for losing weight. Not much on my against list, tbh... but I saw this gem, and thought that her idea of actually WRITING THINGS DOWN could help us. Sorry for my ramble, but i like the following statistic:
People who wrote down their goals were 42% more likely to achieve them than the ones who didn't. Telling a friend increases this rate to 78%.
Now, I figure, going to class, and coming on Minimins is a win-win - we tell our virtual friends here, our hopes and dreams and goals, and in class, even if we just say what we want to lose this week - we are saying it out loud to people.
We can't lose. Well, obviously that's the whole point - but you know what I mean!!
Very inspiring thread! thanks a lot!! We will win for sure! all of us!! Together we are the power! I am very glad i have found this forum. Really here are lots of nice people and it's always easy and comfort to share your problems!
Minimins is fab - I love this place!

It's so true. Knowing I'm weighing in and will be held accountable in class doesn't half help keep me on plan. As does telling my friends and family. Always send a little text off after being weighed to say 'yay lost x pounds this week woohoo' feels lovely and is motivation when feeling like eating that bar of chocolate x
lol Yes, I sit there texting my nearest and dearest what I've just lost!!
