    Bingeing after weigh in day

    Hi all, I'm re attempting slimming world online. I have had a positive first four weeks, weighing in today, bringing my total loss to 1 stone and half a pound! Had a stressful day at work and since being home I have binged on a curly wurly, fudge and two bags of hoops n crosses, taking me well over my syns feeling really down wishing I wasn't such an emotional eater! Anyone else have this?

    My consultant says to count the syns, write them down and accept that it's happened. Don't beat yourself up but promise yourself that you'll stick to plan for the rest of the week! INCLUDING having your normal daily syns. If you don't the. Your not sticking to plan and are likely to binge again. I know it's hard to reroute the guilty feeling but make a plan for the rest of the week and use it as motivation you could still lose, I've done it and still have good losses. Stick with it! x

    In terms of binges that's not a huge one so just work out how many syns you had and cut back a bit over the next few days to compensate. Also plan ahead for what you are going to do next week to top it happening again

    Instead of looking at it like Slimming Wolrd Perfect Week = Great & eveything less than that is bad. Think of it like Old normal week = Bad & everything better than that is great.

    I dont no if this will help u but its stopped me in my tracks a few times. I hav a booklet that i write my food diary in. Before every meal or snack - especially evening snacking - i write what im going to hav and their syns.

    I find that making myself think about what im about to eat and the syns before i eat them sparks a 'do i really want to do this' moment and hav seen myself swappin chocolate for an apple rather than grabbing and inhaling what i thought would make me happy. Which it didnt and then had to think of the consequences later.

    Long winded lol but hth

    I used to do this allll the time after starving myself alll day hoping for a loss.

    NO MORE that is not healthy eating ... I'm not sure how easy this will be but I have decided to save some syns for post weigh in 'controlled binge'

    Something to look forward to and keep me in control
