    Oh ghostie we have all been there.
    I would say do a for and against list of reason for losing weight. Also plan your meals fir the next few days. I know princessstevie really found a reward chart where she have herself a star fur every meal she was on plan really helped. Good luck and hugs x

    We have indeed all been there, and I know how insurmountable it can seem. I too found it helpful to try and not think about the day or the week ahead, but to literally concentrate on one meal at a time. Also, it helped me to only have plan-friendly food in the house (I was living alone at the time - I know this isn't always possible if you have children or a partner).

    been there too. I have re-joined yesterday after lots of soul searching to loose weight.

    I did a for and against list too. Make sure you are truly honest with what you write. it made me re-join. Am also trying to drink more water and am having a drink first if am hungry. Also going to try and plan my meals in advance.

    Good luck. we are all here to support you on your weight loss journey.

    You need to attach some emotional anchors to being fit and healthy, and negative ones to staying overweight.

    Just sit for 5 minutes and think of how terrible you feel because of being overweight. Then, spend 5 minutes thinking of everything positive you will feel when you have reached your goal.

    Trust me, visualization techniques and attaching anchors to feelings will help massively.

    Thank you all for your advice I really appreciate it.. I've got to stop coming up with excuses and feeling sorry for myself.. I'm glad I've got your guys on here that actually understand how I feel.. My partner tries to help.. But he's 13 stone 6'3 and eats what the hell he likes and it doesn't effect him one bit so it just annoys me when he gives me advice as he's never had to diet a day in his life and probably never will lol...

    Hi Ghostie

    I've been feeling like that since my holiday. I had a bit of free reign on holiday & have struggled ever since, hit the same vicious cycle of not getting into it, feeling crap so eating crap & then feeling more crap.

    Yesterday I did what some one already suggested. I thought about how I want to look, the shops I want to buy clothes in & also how much I'd lost already. I haven't lost as much as you but I am really pleased with my 1 stone loss (still have about 7 to go). I thought about how I can get back on plan. Here's what I came up with:

    - Changed my goals & made them smaller. I've set my current goal to be my Club 10, doesn't seem as daunting.
    - Joined a new challenge. I'm already part of the 50lb for christmas challenge but I needed something now so I joined a July challenge. Set my loss at 5lb, quite low but achievable.
    - Excise. I don't like exercise much but I've bought a weighted skipping rope & had to teach myself to skip again, something I haven't done since I was like 9 years old. It's a weighted rope for exercise. I can put some music on & skip in the garden. It's actually fun trying to beat my best. My first attempt was just 2 skips LOL After 20 minutes I was up to 20. That's my highest so far.
    - Get one day on plan under my belt. Today is that day (saturday). I WILL be 100% on plan today, I'll be happy with that achievement & tomorrow will be easier

    January = -7.5lb
    February = -3lb
    March = -3lb
    April = -3lb
    May = -2.5
    June = +3lb (Florida holiday)
    July so far = +1.5lb (oops)

    Hi! I am exactly the same - isn't it crazy how we know what we need to do to lose weight but these cravings are so intense? My biggest issue is i want to lose weight NOW, i don't want to have to wait and wait while it slowly creeps off. That just doesn't sound enough for me! Its so odd, especially because if I don't start now it wont happen in the near future! You will find great support here, I have and I've only been on here 2 days!

    Just remember the sooner you start the sooner you will get there, don't put it off and don't start 'tomorrow' it doesn't have to be a new day to start a diet, start from your next meal
    Start 03/07/2014 - 11st 13.5lbs
    Week 1 10/07/2014 - 11st 10.5lbs -3lb loss
    Week 2 16/07/2014 (early weigh in) - 11st 8.0lbs - 2lb loss
    Goal 01/11/14 - 10st

    Overall Goal - 9st

    Its a snowball effect. Start with one day on plan, just one meticulous day. Then another, and another....once the weight starts to come off it gives you all the incentive you need. A year ago my stats were similar to yours. To within a lb. A year seems a long time looking forward and a blink of the eye looking back. I fell off the wagon, more than once, but the overall trend was still there. You can do it. I set mini goals the whole way through, not always weight related either. Work to half a stone increments or pick some occasions and choose an attainable goal for then. X
    I am Sam, I like it here. I think I'll hang around a bit...

    Ghostie, the extra-easy plan is more family friendly so you can make meals you and your other half will like and not feel like it is a "healthy eating plan" per-se.
    Have you tried looking at meals on Mininins and the SW website? You can make things like Imitation KFC or even Doner Kebab so you can feel like you're being naughty when you actually aren't!

    It may be worth seeing if you can both eat the same thing and cook only one meal, even if your partner is very tall and fairly slim, he will be a lot healthier after eating some slimming word meals rather than just eating junk all of the time plus it would be a great way for him to support you. You may even see your shopping bill decrease if he's not having separate junk-meals.
