Weigh-in morning, afternoon or eve...........?

Hi all, just wondering when you all get weighed? My class is on a Thurs evening at 7.30 and because I stay, don't usually get home until about 9.15 so eat my tea then. I'm now thinking of changing to a Friday morning because I'm so fed up of feeling hungry all day and eating tea so late. I have tried eating before I go but worry I will not get an accurate reading. The only trouble is I have a two year old and will need to take her with me so will not be able to stay to class, not ideal but getting weighed at 9.30 should give me a more accurate weight as the last few weeks I seem to be losing and gaining the same couple of pounds and getting no-where even though I'm on plan.

Does anyone else find this when getting weighed in the evening or is it just me lol?

As long it's consistant it shouldn't matter.

Sometimes I'll eat before class sometimes afterwards and it doesn't seem to affect my weight loss

Why do you feel hungry all day though? Eat normally! I weigh in at 7.30pm and just look on weigh in day as the same as any other. There's no point in depriving yourself once a week xx

I usually eat breakfast and lunch as normal but don't eat anything else apart from fruit until after weigh-in. I find that if I do eat dinner before weigh-in I gain or sts. Other members in my group also eat dinner after weigh-in.

Well done with such a fantastic weight-loss. You've done really, really well. :)

Hi, if you start to have your dinner before you go to class it may affect the first time but so long as you have roughly the same each week it should even itself out the next week and then be accurate thereafter. It's about consistency, which I'm sure you already know, so if you have the same (ish) dinner and wear the same (ish) clothes then this will help you have correct weigh ins. If you like your evening class then stick with it and make it work for you. I could go to a morning class but it would be a case of "weigh an go" every week, but I go to an evening class so that I at least then have the choice to stay or go (usually stay).

I follow EE online and am due to do my 1st weigh in tomorrow. Think I will do it as soon as I get in from work at about 5.30pm. AS far as I have been told as long as you stick to weighing yourself at roughly the same time each week you will be fine.

Good luck.

I go to a 7.30 class and eat afterwards, but that's because I normally eat late anyway, so I'm used to it and am not hungry. If you have a light meal before you go, it might make a difference to your weight loss the first time, but after that it won't matter. Like eejayess said, just make sure you do roughly the same each week. (I wear exactly the same clothes every week - sometimes I think my group must think they are the only ones I have!)

I go to a morning group and it's fine to take a toddler with you and stay to IT.

I stay to the class every week with my 2 year old. It's a 9am class and there are a few people who take their children. It actually says (somewhere) on the official SW site that children are welcome to go with you.

I'm having this debate too. My group is 1530 & after speaking to the consultant it's better to stick to the same thing each week. So u got weighed after eating so I'll continue on with eating during the day before weigh in.

Like the others say, if you stick to the same thing each week whether you eat or not you'll see results.
