I LOVE SW......but it doesn't love me!!!!

So week 2 and I stayed the same.......gutted after only loosing 1/2lb last week.
Apart from going over my syns on Saturday nights with alcohol I am an angel the rest of the time....and I absolutely mean that.
Years ago I did try SW and the pattern seems to be happening again and I ended up going to WW which is not something I want to do as I actually don't feel I'm depriving myself on SW.
Is SW really for everyone? I can't imagine doing red days but are these EE days stopping me.
I'm devastated...it took a lot for me to get the courage to walk through that door 2 weeks ago and I walked out after I got weighed tonight hating myself and thinking of giving up and just accepting I'll always be this way.....self loathing and miserable being a failure.
sorry but had to tell so emote how I feel.

Have you shown your consultant your food diary? I know it's disheartening when you don't lose anything or STS. Do you make sure to write down absolutely everything you eat? Sometimes it's easy to forget you've had a quick snack by the time it comes to writing your diary. Another thing is do you measure exactly your healthy extras and anything that is synned? For example using a heaped tablespoon over a level tablespoon when measuring things can add lots of extra syns.

Otherwise keep going, keep drinking lots of water and I'm sure it'll show on the scales soon!

No I didn't ununpentium....I just had to get out of there incase I started bawling. I write everything down and even measure my milk every time although I use the same container to put it in every time. I weigh everything that I need too even my synable things.....I'm a bit of a control freak like that.....same with recipes I have to follow them exactly. I've paid for 6 weeks but..........who knows. It's me I guess a freak of nature. Thanks for your advice x

Are you filling 1/3 of your plate with superfree hun & just eating until you are full? I know SW isnt about measuring out portion sizes with things like rice, potatoes, pasta etc but I generally do with things like that just to be extra sure

If you can't talk to your consultant face-to-face, then perhaps you could email them your food diary, and ask them where you might be going wrong?

You could not be going wrong at all, and there could be other factors that are preventing you from losing and it will fall off in the next couple of weeks. It can be a struggle to pick yourself up and carry on, but you really must, because giving yourself that impetus to keep going will pay dividends trust me.

Do you want to post a couple of days food diary on here so we can have a look at it for you? Maybe we can spot something you're not?
When you say you weigh and measure everything... Are you eating enough? Ate you weighing and measuring and calorie counting? Because that's not how this diet works. Eat fruit and vegetables freely, as much and as often as you want. Fill up 1/3 to 1/2 of your plate with superfree for every meal, and eat that before your meat and potatoes (or pasta, or rice and curry, you get the picture ;) )
I hope you can find out what's happening here x

Are you working out how many syns you're actually having on your Saturday nights? It might be way more than you think.

It's hard when you feel so disheartened but you really should stick at it a bit longer before you decide if it's for you or not, if you've paid for 6 weeks you may as well see it out and with a bit of luck your losses will catch up and you'll be happier you did it.

Any chance you could skip the Saturday night and have a week 100% on plan and see what happens?

Yeah, I want to second the alcohol thing. I can have 2 x125ml glasses of wine a week or two single spirits and not gain, but if I drink (and I mean *drink*, have a night out and get drunk with everyone else) then I sts or gain, even if I've been 100% on plan the rest of the time. I've found that I just have to not drink much or often. On the upside, I'm now a pretty cheap date ;)

I echo everything everyone has said, alcohol can be pretty high and their are some sneaky extra syns in there. Are you drinking water too? Maybe drinking it will help flush out all the alcohol and bad stuff out your system and stop water retention. Maybe you are deyhydrated and need some fluids x
