hi everyone, i have just joined minimins and enjoying looking around. I started SW on Tuesday and i have been sticking at it so far. I have not been writing things down though so i should really start doing that, its alot to take in and i cant believe how much food im allowed to eat. im finding it tricky deciding what to eat though and keep having the same things, pasta n sauce for lunch and spag bol for tea!

hope to make some new friends here,

xx

Hi Pixie :)
Good luck with your weight loss! Have you started a food diary on here? The paper ones seem like a lot of effort for me so I tend to track on here :)
It's easy to get stuck on the same meals- I definitely have repetitive/go-to meals. Have you found the recipe thread? Fab for inspiration!
I try and make myself have different carbs for each meal, so I don't get bored!

Haha I love that you're so overwhelmed with the choices that you've stuck to the same things. I'm completely the other way round, today I cooked of some rice, put in half a tin of tuna, peas, sweetcorn and a good dollop of soy sauce, soo filling. I have never even dreamed of doing that before I saw - I used to stick for boring sandwiches for lunch. Tonight I might try the all-day breakfast lasagne I found the recipe for last night. But i've also got loads of courgettes from Dad's allotment that I might blanch to replace spaghetti in a different dish.

Why don't you start a pintrest board? I have one just for slimming world ideas. I've got a button on my google chrome that I installed in seconds, everytime I come across a recipe I want to try I pin it so that when I'm out of idea I can just scroll through it.

Check out the "what's for tea" and "what's for lunch" threads on here. Great for ideas and inspiration. Plan a few meals ahead too and get the ingredients in. If you're already hungry and just want something now you'll be more likely to reach for an old faithful. Good luck x

I have pi-nte-rest for everything but didn't think of making a SW board ha! I will have to do that, thanks for the idea x

Hi KayMo.
Welcome to SW & this forum, enjoy your journey.
I find that writing a weekly menu & a daily food diary is very useful for future reference.
You will find thousands of recipes on this site so you never need to be stuck for ideas.
Good luck.
Pete

Hi Pixie ... I'm new to this site too, but not to SW. Just rejoined with new incentive .... To be able to buy a mother of the bride outfit from a store that doesn't specialise in plus sizes!!! I know from experience that writing everything down and planning is def the best way. As soon as I stop doing that, I'm on that slippery slope! Looks like there are lots of good tips and recipes on here. Good luck :) Patti
