Extra Easy 6 weeks in, struggling to keep losing weight.

So last thursday was my 6th weigh in. I had a fantastic first 4 weigh ins. A total of 20lbs. Then my 5th weigh in I had a bad week (had a family christening party) and even still lost 1/2 a pound. Last week I had a great week and lost nothing. Not an ounce.

The last time I was on slimming world was 2 years ago. The weight fell off me. 3 stone in 3 months. No excercise, on plan 70% of the week. Didn't realise my luck and fell off the wagon. Put it all back on and now i'm back on for definite.

This time i've been 95-100% on plan. I've been excersising for the first time in a decade. Been trying so hard to be so good and have stayed the same last week and I weighed myself today- same story. It's so disheartening. I've been putting in so much effort and seemingly not getting anything to show for it! :(

I was eating a lot of grapes which apparently isn't great, found that out this morning so I will curb things on the grape end of things. Also been snacking on sliced ham, chicken, turkey - thinking it was free food? Could these be the reason?

Has anyone got any ideas or gone through similar themselves?

Hey :) well done for your losses so far! That's a great achievement, as is getting back in the zone!
As suggested above you could try mixing up the days a little?
Also, I can't remember the sw lines on this, but I always snack on super free first. You're right in that the ham/turkey etc is free food, but if you try to satisfy your hunger with super free first, then have something free if you still feel hungry that might help. I think grapes are fine in moderation!
Are you having all your syns? Some find that cutting them back weirdly slows their losses, so that might help.
How's your water intake? Especially if you are exercising your body will hold on to it!
Lastly, the classics- are you having 1/3 super free, measuring your Hexs, recording all syns?
Hope this helps, keep us posted :) x

Oh my gosh - well done for losing so much so quickly! Don't be disheartened - I know they say that weight loss/gain doesn't follow you around but maybe your body needs a couple of weeks to catch up with itself after losing so much weight so quickly? I wish I could work that quickly! ;)

I always find mixing my days helps, as well as changing my food "routine" - mixing up meals helps as my body doesn't get used to eating the same things all the time.

One last thing, sometimes I find that when I exercise I maintain or even put on, despite being really good. This usually means I give up exercising after a week but if you stick with it, the losses will eventually come back? :)

Well done on your losses so far - fantastic!
I know it can be disheartening but staying the same is better than a gain, don't beat yourself up over it.i agree chop and change your meals up a little, lots of super free and also super speed foods to help things

One last thing, if your exercising then you could be loosing but gaining muscle weight? Try tracking inches too

Good luck for next week, hope you get the results you want

A stone and a half in six weeks is amazing, your body shouldn't really lose much more than that anyway, or it's not just fat you're losing.

The STSs could be caused by a few things, your body is maybe just adjusting and allowing the weight loss to catch up or it could be because of exercising, at first your body can cling to water, but it does start moving again.

Keep going, you're doing a great job. :) x

I would think it might just have been your bad week catching up with you? When I have a bad week I often "get away with it" only for it to give me a small loss or a STS the following week even if I've been brilliant. I wouldn't worry about it, you're doing brilliantly! Stick to plan and the losses will keep coming, you just have to trust that it will work and be patient. I would agree with a lot of the advice above too.
