Long working hours and slimming world

Hello,

I have yo yo'd between diets for a few years. Successfully lost 2.5stone on weight watchers gradually gained 3 back over the past 2 years.

Thinking of having another go at slimming world, at the moment I feel too hungry to stick to 26pp per day on weight watchers but i know i can eat more on slimming world.

My problem is at the moment I am working 2 jobs so I have no time to cook. I eat my breakfast, lunch and evening meal at work and have been have soup for lunch and dinner which i must admit I am getting a little bit sick even though i love soup.

I need some suggestions for meals I can have that are easy to heat up for my dinner. I'll stick with soup for lunch but I need a proper meal for my dinner.

My mam has offered to cook meals that i could freeze, does anyone have any recipes that are good for freezing and reheating without too much effort. I get a 20 minute break during my evening job so I don't have a lot of time.

I know casseroles and things like that are good but how do you make the syn free or low syn?

My 2nd job is just temporary and will be ending at the end of November, but i don't want to wait until then to start. I have been trying to fit in a morning circuit class but it's not easy when working 6 hours per week lol.

Appreciate any suggestions!

Do you have a day off during the week when you can batch cook and freeze? Rather than your mum doing it (unless she's familiar with SW recipes anyway). There is a huge recipe thread on here.

I usually make and freeze
- curry
- bolognaise
- chillis

These can all be made syn free (on EE) and pretty cheaply. I pile the sauce full with Super Free veg. Split it into portions, and take one out of the freezer every day for dinner, have it with a side salad, jacket potato, etc. Have you a microwave at work to heat it up? If not, get a food thermos if you can, they're brilliant!

Just bung lots of your fave super free veggies in with some tinned tomatoes & whatever spices you like & voila, a batch of something tasty. I like to add tinned beans too & have it with either rice, potato or pasta meaning it's syn free.

If I'm not feeling something hot the a simple pasta salad with 2tbsp aldi lighter than light mayo for a 1syn dish.

Frittatas freeze pretty well. And you can take jacket potatoes into work if u have microwaves? M&S has Some tinned meals like count on us red Thai chicken curry and beef chipotle chili that make good potato toppers. They are 2 and 2.5syns each

Hth, and hope things calm down for u in November :) x

Thank you.

I am off at the weekends but am usually busy doing things i've not had time to do through the week lol

My mam has done slimming world in the past so she is familiar with most things.

I think i'll have a look at the links on saturday and write a plan. Trying my hardest to be organised.

X
