3rd day and struggling

Hi all, I'm on my 3rd day of sw and struggling a bit, I'm still on track but finding it hard as I haven't been in a diet for a while and used to bad habits.
So far today I've had
2 poached eggs and beans on one slice of bread (Hexb)
Chicken breast with new potatoes and mushy peAs
5 cup of teas each with 2 sugars (10syns)
Fruit bar (2.5 syns)
Jus dot feel like fruit at the mo or anything so struggling what to have

Sorry to hear you're struggling! You've made a good start but there's some things from your menu that jump out at me.
Firstly, there's no superfree at all (mushy peas are free not superfree). This doesn't have to be fruit- I only really like apple, grapes and the odd banana- but you need at least a third of each meal. So you could add mushrooms/tomatoes to breakfast, roast carrots or Mediterranean style roast veg to your chicken.
Also, its totally up to you what you use your syns on but have you tried sweetener in your tea? You'd save loads to 'spend' on other treats/snacks- I find its these that help me break the 'diet' mindset.
Hope the above helps a bit- hit the recipe section for good snack ideas that might help you stay on track.
Whatever the circumstances/diet, bad habits are hard to break and I really sympathise! Good luck x
 
I would try cut the sugar down in your tea. Which plan is your menu for today? If its Extra Easy then you need to have your superfree foods at each meal, if its green then you need to either hex B your chicken or syn it or if it's red then you need to Hex B your potatoes or syn them. Drink plenty of water to fill you up. Is there not any fruit you like?

But seriously, you are doing great for even getting started. I think it's okay to use the first week to find your feet and work out what works for you. I don't know if u have done SW before but I would really recommend staying to group and also linking in with your group on Facebook - this way you will get lots of support and ideas as well as the support you will get here.
I definitely would think about whether you want to be using all your syns in your tea. I don't drink tea anyway so can't really empathise - you might find it easier to use your syns for other things.

I use my hex for cheese, muesli, ryvita or bars. This gives a bit of variety rather than always using for milk and bread.

Keep on going, it will take time to settle in xx

Eat more food! Seriously I would be starving on your menu plan and if you;re hungry then you will struggle. As said, you need a lot more superfree with your meals, and why are you only having two meal? Switch the sugar for sweetener or cut down so you have some syns for other foods that you like then you won't feel so deprived x
 
Thankyou for all the advice, I wouldn't norm use all my syns for cups of tea that was just yesterday.
I am still getting used to it and that's why most prob struggling.

I haven't ate much today as been really busy in work
For tea I'll be having
Lamb , new pots and veg
And maybe treat myself to a bag of crisps or something tonight with rest of syns
