eating before weigh in

hello all im starting group again tonight but its 6.15 and as a family we normally eat together at 5 so should i eat before or after opinions please?
 
yes that was my thinking i was just wondering what everyone else does ive saved my heb from earlier will take some ryvita minis and banana too tide me over
 
I don't like to eat anything heavy before class, mine is at 7.30 so I usually have eggs or something light to stop me being really hungry then have my dinner when I get in :)
 
As long as you do the same every week it won't make any difference
 
I always eat before i weigh in at 7pm as i did that on my first weigh in so then it always a true reflection. But most in group dont eat before weigh in then spend image therapy eating hi fi bars :) or miss image therapy because they starving and want to go home for tea.
 
I'm with PatchworkPuss on this one, as long as it's the same every week, it's fine. I've eaten about 30-45 minutes before weigh in every week since I've started, I've still had a reasonable/good loss every week. If you're stomach is ready for tea, then it's ready, and you may leave yourself so hungry that you end up eating a quick, not so healthy meal or snacking just before if you leave a meal til late. I know you can eat unlimited free food on the plan, but there's no point snacking for the sake of it, right? :)

Basically this :)

I usually have a snack around 3:30, and then weigh-in at 5:30. Lunch is the same as it is most days. I have never done anything different on weigh day, and I my losses aren't affected. Some people in my group practically starve themselves, or just eat soup, I would rather risk losing a bit less and not be hungry :)
 
My weigh in is at 7.30 and I don't get home until 9!! Unfortunately I didn't eat dinner before my very first weigh in and now I don't want the results to be sued so I can't bring myself to eat before (wish I did though!). And if I ever did it would have to be a very similar meal each week!
 
When I used to go to class mine was in the evening so I would eat a light lunch, get weighed at SW class at 6.30pm then I would take a snack with me so that I could stay to the SW class but not feel starving hungry!

This time round I'm doing SW at home so I have the luxury of weighing in at home first thing in the morning before breakfast :) Can't afford to go to the SW class anymore but I really miss the group support.

Just make sure you weigh in every single week, even if you've had a bad week as it will definitely keep you on track

If you eat before your 1st class I would do the same each week.
I didn't and mine is 7:30
last week i took my dinner with me & ate it whilst waiting for the meeting to start. (my mate did the same)
that way i dont have something naughty on weigh in day too. (which is something i fell into last year when i did WW)
 
I tend to eat before class (as its at 7.30 and I don't get home until 9!). I do have a lighter dinner on weigh in days. Have something more substantial for lunch and then salad and chicken usually for dinner.

As long as its the same every week it should make a difference :)
 
My weigh in is 7pm, but because I only get home form work around 6pm, and have to leave home at 6.45ish to get to group, I don't usually have time to eat beforehand. I usually prepare my tea before I go, and then when I get hom around 8.30pm, I can just grab it and eat :) I'll usually have a later lunch though so I'm not ravenous at group!

im the same, WI -s 7-7:30pm but as im on social team i get back about 8:30-9 so i have a nice big lunch and keep my HEXB as a snack mid afternoon then have my tea ready to eat when i get back - usually a premade pasta bake to heat up or get OH to pop a jacket potato in the oven when i text him. Find this works best as like you between work and going out again at 6:30 i have no time to eat tea! No way i could go all day until 9 without eating just because its WI day!!
