Struggling

I am into my 4th week of slimming world!
1st week lost 10lb and 2nd lost 5.5lb.
The first two weeks and most of the 3rd week I have followed plan 100%
From the end of week 3 I have just felt rubbish and last week I felt like I had not lost anything!
I did lose 2.5lb so was happy but still felt rubbish!

I am finding it difficult to snap out of and I really want to eat chocolate/crisps/maccies/kfc... Basically everything I shouldn't!

I have not give in but it's hard and I don't want to be feeling like this all the time

Sorry you are feeling like this.
Are you using your syns and if so what on?
It's important you use then for things like cake etc if you feel like this

Well done on your loss so far

Have you tried making the SW KFC, i've not tried it, but heard it's very nice.

How about buying some low syn choc (Freddo's) & crisps and put them in a syn tin, I also write the syns on products and I count my syns down from 105.

Nice to see you back, how are you? I thought we'd said something at the meet as you never came back here again, lol

I was almost off plan when i came to the meet and never got back on plan properly :/

I have used quite a few syns this week - had a freddo Sunday and been having Alpen lights for my HEb

I am going to try and melt a freddo and have on strawberries or make all bran choc cakes ha don't know what they will be like but just want to get rid of this chocolate fix.

J

I like HappyHolidays suggestions about the SW KFC, I absolutely love the Fakeaway book, and have tried almost everything in it, they're really good! And great when I'm feeling fed up and down about things.

The one thing my consultant has always said is that if you're craving something, have it. The worst thing I've done is try to avoid having that cake/chocolate/beer and end up eating a whole collection of other things to try and satisfy that inital craving.
Once you've had it, draw a line under it and start again :) I know it's easier said than done (it's happened to me many times across the years!) but hopefully you can get over the fed up feeling soon :)
Oh, and the Freddo and strawberries sound lovely!! I'd never thought of that :)

Hi jengen me too im having a tough time and ive not been 100% i keep having melt downs and eating everything not one week have i managed without getting out the crisp and chocolate. Im feeling super stressed most of the time being a full time mum too a very active 2 year old kills me and i turn too food as a way too cope so not sure how i move past that one :( anyways hun your not alone x

Thanks
I've had a lot more pasta, rice and potato this week which seems to help keep me full a bit more.
My alpen lights work a bit too
I'm hoping that I can snap out of this!
I've been signed off work for a week so going to be spending days at home - catching up and trying to not be stressed. New meds need a bit of time to settle.
Hopefully being at home will help because it means I can cook nice dinners and tea as I will have the time I am going to try and swim too - I always feel better in water! Have not been swimming since summer.
Thanks for all your support x x

Out of interest, how much pasta are you eating? In my second week, I put half a pound on despite sticking to plan 100%. The only thing I've changed this week is I've stopped eating pasta (as an experiment to see if I'd lose weight). I get weighed officially on Thursday, but my scales at home say I've lost 4-5 pounds so far this week.

I know pasta is free on the plan, but for me personally it just doesn't agree with me.

An options hot chocolate serving is 1.5 syns.
Stick one of those in a little quark, fromage frais/fat-free yoghurt and mix it around frozen berries.

I use the white chocolate and use it with frozen summer fruits, it turns into something which resembles ice-cream! ^_^

Use ur heb alpen bars into a muller light of your choice all crumbled that is what keeps the junk food monster away for me x

wow! you have had an awesome first month, you should be very proud.

why not buy yourself a little present, a new handbag or some nice makeup as a treat?

im sorry you feel like youre struggling and im glad you came on here to voice that so that we can try and talk you down from the maccyd tree!

you are doing really well, keep it up and take on some advice from the previous posters, i find a cup of tea and a rocky road hifi shows my sweet craving the door. xx

Thank you -
I am certainly going to try a few of the ideas on here thank you so much :)

I had quite a big portion of pasta yesterday with meatballs and I have been having rice a few times but not more than 1/2 pouch with meal so hoping the carbs don't affect me too much. It feels like a lot because I have not eaten it much in 3 weeks before.

I just want thursday to be here so I can have weigh in. I don't half wish my life away just want it to be a few months down the line so I can see the difference x

i weigh in on a Thursday too, we could be weigh in buddies if you like?

If you have a sweet tooth another idea is to melt an alpen light bar into a ramekin and push down to make a base, then mix an options sachet with quark and put on top and set in fridge, makes lovely cheesecake type dessert for only 1.5 syns! Also the scan bran ferrero rocher are a good quick choc fix too!

Have just noticed in your post you mention 'rice pouches', are these the microwave ones like uncle bens etc? Just werent sure if you were aware these are up to 4 syns a pouch due to the oil in them so if you switch to the free dried rice you can free up more syns for the sweet treats your craving? Just a thought :) x

I love claire's idea, I use a white chocolate options and a little bit of sweetner with fat free greek yogurt instead of quark, but if you throw some berries on top, you've got your very own mini cheesecake! :D (I just like the suggestion that I'm eating an entire cheesecake... how greedy do I sound? haha :) )

Also, if you are using the microwave pouches of rice (I do sometimes as it can be a great quick put together meal), the Uncle Ben's Long Grain is the best, 1 syn for the whole pouch. (I've recently discovered this... I could have sworn they used to be more!)

Have you started a diary on here? that will help & you'll get support as you need it.

I have a picture diary where i post a pic of my food. not a full diary though - although i do use mfp too.

i weigh in on a Thursday too, we could be weigh in buddies if you like?
Sounds great :D i got on the scales before becasue i really dont feel like i've lost and it only says ive lost 1lb :( bit disappointing! I'm hoping mine are not the same as SW ones

I am looking forward to trying this later today :)
