Extra Easy Please please someone help?

Hi there,

I am currently 27 weeks pregnant, and around a size 14/16. I havent actually weighed myself because the truth is, i am so worried what i will weigh. I have always suffered with my weight, and when i found out i was pregnant i promised myself the obvious, that i would watch what i eat, eat healthy blah blah blah, but of course that hasnt happened, and just want to eat rubbish.

Ive heard from a few people that slimming world is extremely good to follow and people actually loose weight whilst pregnant? Is this true?

If so has anyone got any stories? How do i work out synn values?

A reply would really be great.

Hi Chloe!

I've known of several people maintain their weight, or at least limit how much they gain throughout.
Have a look on the Slimming World website for possible venues near to you and see if you can get to a group. There are plenty of threads on here about the plans, and plenty of people to support you, but it may be easier to understand if you go to a group.

(I could be wrong, but I think I heard that you may be able to get a reduced fee whilst pregnant...)

It says online that to attend during pregnancy you have to have the written support of a midwife to take to the group, and they will not advise on weight loss as this cant be encouraged but will help you maintain a healthy diet during the pregnancy. it also says if you lose more than 4lb in any week during pregnancy they will require you to complete food diarys to check what you are eating and ensure you are getting everything you need.

if you google it theres a section on the SW site about attending during pregnancy that should help xx

Also apparently some GP's offer free joining vouchers for SW on the NHS so it may be worth asking yours about that too x
