white bread no longer healthy b?

White bread in general has never been a healthy extra but there are selected high fibre ones you can have like the Kingsmill great white (60g)

i think the danish white was/is a healthy B.

I will go check.

have had a look in an old book versus the newest one, and youre right. the nimble white used to be HeB, but not anymore.

sorry xx

Your consultant is mistaken on this, it's comparable with wholemeal in terms of fibre content and counts under the 60g wholemeal heading :)
I've emailed sw about it to check as i used it a lot until i was told by my consultant that it had changed in november as the calories in 60g portion worked out above the 6 syns your allowed for your healthy b choice xx

i got this reply back, hope it helps xx

Dear Gemma,

Many thanks for your email regarding Kingsmill Great White bread.

This product is not an official Slimming World Healthy Extra B. One slice has too little fibre and two slices have too many calories. We are aware that some members are choosing to weigh an exact 60g portion of Great White, which does contain the correct nutritional proportions to be a Healthy Extra B, but this may cause wastage so it is personal choice whether you do this.

We have not added a 60g measure of Great White to the official Healthy Extra lists as this weight is not easily divisible into the pre-cut slices. Similarly, we know some members are choosing 2 medium (38g) slices of Great White as their Healthy Extra B AND counting an extra 2 Syns. Again, as this is not a straight forward measurement we would not recommend this.

We hope this helps and send our best wishes for your slimming campaign.

It clearly depends who you speak to because the response I got was that it's fine to have 60g. I think they're just covering themselves because they know some people won't weigh it out or add the extra 2 syns ;-)
