Struggling :(

So Iv been doing sw since April 2014 and am a couple of pounds off of my 4.5 stone award, I got my 4s award a couple weeks before xmas but since xmas I just and up and down, one week I will loose 5 pounds and the next gain 2 or 3, I just can't seem to stick on track for a full week :(

I've just noticed that we weigh the same and have the same goal weight too. Good luck getting there!
Also, you say you keep going up and down, and that one week you lose five pounds but the next week, put in two or three, that's annoying I know but it is still going in the downward direction isn't it? Try not to get disheartened, perhaps have a shake-up of your menu? You've been doing the plan for a while now, might you be settling into the same old meals week in week out? I know I do that. I might do your body good to shock it with some new/different foods.
 
Well the reason I'm having the gains is because I'm not sticking to plan, so totally my fault, when I stick to plan I always have a loss im just struggling with motivation :(

maybe you need to stop. take a look behind you and see just how far you have come!!!!

you lady are an inspiration!!

do you go to class? if so maybe have a chat with your consultant and start a food diary for a few weeks.

if not, try starting again. imagine this is your first week and how determined you were back then. you will find your mojo, im sure. xx
 
Wow, you have done so amazingly well. It's natural to have a motivation loss now and then. But look how far you've come!

Perhaps, as Pootle said, you are a bit bored with the plan and need some new recipes and ideas to give yourself a bit of a kickstart?

One thing I do know, if you stop, and gain, the hard work you have put in since April 2014 will be wasted and you will absolutely kick yourself (I've been there, I started at a similar weight to you, lost 5 stone, stopped the plan and regained almost 2 stone which I am now trying to lose again, and more).

What you mustn't do is get into a downward spiral of falling off the plan, and feeling guilty, and then convincing yourself you can't do it any more. Get rid of those negative thoughts, draw a line under them, and start afresh. Maybe take a day or 2 of just maintaining, where you're still in control but just treading water, to re-evaluate your motivations and your goals. Take one small step, one half stone, at a time. You've come this far, you can do it :)
 
Thanks everyone, I'm slowly getting there, I think it's mainly having the energy for a lot of it, planning and cooking etc, since loosing this weight Iv gone from going months with no period to now having them regular every month and each month that goes by my emotional state gets worse, I'm crying lethargic and really struggle, I never knew how intense PMS could be and I never knew that it could actually be a medical condition lol!

Iv just had a real intense few days of it which really threw me but I weigh Wednesday going to see the damage and try to carry on as normal

Completely agree with Flashharry, we mustn't let our slips in willpower sabotage all our efforts. Having said that, I have eaten a whole packet of choc chip cookies, four fruit shortcake biscuits and a packet of crisps today. Came home I'll from work and intended to eat healthily but just lost it.
Tomorrow is another day!

Chrissie, have you been to the docs about your PMS? I have a Merina coil and as well as almost stopping my star weeks it definitely helped with the PMS (although I didn't get it badly, admittedly)
 
Big plateful of sliced melon for breakfast, Ryvita and cottage cheese for lunch, not sure yet for tea tonight but I will not go off plan today.
 
Oh my gosh you've done amazing! What an inspiration!!

Try to just combat one meal at a time - aim to have as low-syn meals as possible, get looking through your mags and books, see what takes your fancy. Before you know it you'll have done one day on plan, two, three..etc! You know it works, you can do it as demonstrated by your amazing losses - your mojo will come back!

Try writing a letter to yourself, explain why you wanted to lose weight, talk about how you felt 4 stone ago, how you think you'll feel at target - it might inspire you, and no one needs to ever see it. Just keep it for you :) xx
 
You've done unreal so far Chrissie - well done.

My advice is, take each day as it comes, don't look to far ahead as it can be daunting.

Before you know it you'll be back on track, and remember the track is never a staight one, there will be times you struggle (speed bumps) just take your time, and take it slowly.

You've inspired me reading about your weight loss, so thank you. :)
 
Thankyou guys, I can't make my weigh in tomorrow now but Iv got my next week planned anyways, bit gutted as I wanted to pick up the new magazine but never mind! Fingers crossed I can have a good week
