Extra Easy SP New Plan

Ok i've been doing slimming world at home for the past 14 months. I've lost pretty much all that i will do and now i'm just maintaining. I'm not liking the new plan now i've read about it, and i wonder about what's happening with slimming world. Should i be?
For me i don't need massive weight losses each week as i've plateaued and haven't really lost anything other than a pound or two in the past few months now. I worry about the message slimming world is giving about quick losses in short times. I've lost 5 stone 8 pounds, and never had a gain week ever, which i am massively proud of. It seems to me that this seems only to be targeting new members who have the most to loose not the committed members who have been strong slimming world supporters for many years.

What do people think?
Have i mis-judged this?
Is there more to it, than meets the eye?
Anyone actually done it a week or period of time with it? People i know who have made gain weeks :|

Any and all discussions/comments welcome

I think the SP isn't meant to be done all the time, it's kind of an add on to EE. I don't do it myself as don't like being restricted but from what I've read you do EE routinely and then when you want a loss boost you chuck in an SP week here and there.

Yeah i reckon that's the jist i got from it. I don't know if i agree with the whole one week boost, i hope its tested and doesn't cause any issues like a quick loss that isn't kept if you don't do it the next week if that makes sense. EE worked (works) for me so i'll stick with what's been working

Thanks for the reply :)

I'm a new member and have done the SP plan which resulted in a 6lbs weight loss for me in the first week. Having said that, I don't think the SP plan could be maintained on a long-term basis.

There's always been a booster plan, it was called success express before, but it shouldn't be for new members. They should be focusing on Extra Easy and not even be considering sp

Wow that is amazing, good for you for loosing so much. I'm glad you kind of have the same observations as i do.

Thanks for your reply :)

I completely agree with you - i really don't agree with the whole quick bursts of big weight losses, it worries me. I've lost each week till i plateaued whether that was just 1lb or 7 lbs. I really hope this isn't giving a bad impression to people and i'm glad im not the only one who is a little concerned or not quite liking it.

Thanks for the reply :)

I did a full week of SP (I like experimenting with the plans!) and lost 2lbs. I did feel deprived (I was desperate for yogurt!) and the 2lb loss didn;t feel "worth it" as the week before I had an EE week and lost 2.5! A friend of mine goes to classes and there was a woman in her class who gained 3lbs on SP.

Personally, I'm not very impressed with SW HQ at the moment. The removal of red and green days combined with the "changes" to EE (Removal of oil from Healthy Extras, pointless S & P nonsense) just seems like a make-work exercise.

I am so glad i am not the only person who is concerned and worried about slimming world. I've always thought if it aint broke don't fix it. I find red and green days don't work for me so i like the Extra easy. If you can't have yoghurt on SP and feel deprived - i so wouldn't last one day on it at all lol! One thing i've always liked about slimming world is that you don't have to feel hungry or guilty about eating. I think i know what i'm doing and understand it enough to motivate myself to do what works to keep it going for me.

I'm glad this forum is good and we can all keep each other going and have a good moan, while sharing good tips and tricks.

Thanks for your views :D

Totally agree - its being pushed far too much

I think sometimes all these slimming clubs feel the need to bring in a "new plan" to compete with each other - always after Christmas!!

Very true..... Not sure if i'm thrilled about the frozen microwavable meals too - is that giving a wrong message?

i always thought slimming world was the other end of the spectrum to 'convenience foods'

however we have to remember, as cynical as it sounds, that they are a business and they need to make money.

i will have a butchers, but i wont be regularly buying them, ive always enjoyed the whole scratch cook feeling of slimming world.

I think they are good as a lifeline. When I fail is when I'm tired from work, can't be bothered cooking, and I might just phone for a takeaway because I'm lazy. If I had something I could just bang in the oven or micro, it would save me from cheating. Surely that can only be a good thing if it keeps people on plan!

That being said, it'd be a shame if people relied solely on them (although I doubt anyone could afford to, ££££!), because cooking from scratch and learning how to cook healthily is at the heart of sw.

I would much rather cook myself from scratch but will be happy having a couple in the freezer for when life just gets in the way

Very true but i do wonder who will just use and rely on them, as they are all supposed to be syn free. I have had a weight watchers frozen ready meal before but not many and not often so i do hope people won't use them constantly

I agree - i have to try them just for the the sake of knowing they are there. And if those syn free sausages are good that will be helpful. I use quorn ones but they just aren't meaty enough for me

Have you tried the Morrisons reduced fat cumberland sausages? They are only 1 syn each and soooo nice, you can't tell they're reduced fat at all x

I haven't - might have to. I have the weight watchers ones at 1/2 syn but once i've had them - i'm then bored quickly, not something i can have too often. I might have to try them. I like the quorn ones cuz i can just pull them from the freezer and hey presto - sorted. I like things simple lol

Absolutely, well done, on such a brilliant weight-loss, Curly.Locks! However, not meaning to detract from such an amazing loss, believe me, but this sort of weight loss happens on quite a regular basis when just doing the ordinary EE plan and, in the past, the Red and Green days. What I mean to say is that, after the first week, there is usually a large weight loss and so I don't think this can just be put down to doing the SP plan.

It'll be interesting to see how people get on with this plan, over the coming weeks.
