SW Frozen Meals - Sweet Potato Curry

So trying out the Frozen meals..... just for curiosity as i'm not overly excited at the prospect of relying on frozen meals.... i don't see the healthy benefit of frozen ready meals as it were. I do understand after trying they are made properly so i give in a bit.

I tried the Sweet Potato Curry - now i'm not a massive fan of Sweet Potato or a meal missing the Protein but i did enjoy it. Not something i will be spending £3 again in a hurry (especially as i had to add my own rice to this!) but in the future might be considered again. I couldn't believe how satisfying and filling it was.

Anyone else tried this one yet?

Yeah I did and tbh I think it's the best one out of the lot! Had a nice flavour and the sauce wasn't as watery as all the others.
i don't feel the need to buy any of them again though and found I prefer batch cooking and freezing my own meals......so much tastier.
i can see how they are handy to have in the freezer if you can't cook or don't have the time x

Interesting that this is your best out the lot. I haven't tried them all yet i don't want to have them all in a quick batch for fear of loosing any cooking skills i have mastered!!! And they are very very limited lol!
If i could cook to this standard and batch cook and freeze meals i would but sadly my meals taste crappy even when fresh lol.

I'm sure you're being a bit tough on yourself!
just keep at it and you'll get there eventually....master a few dishes. I'm happy to send you a few recipes that are really easy and tasty if you like? I don't cook well either but they always turn out great x

That actually doesn't look too bad. Could you have added some chicken pieces to it if you wanted some protein? if you padded it out with chicken, you'd get more portions out of it which would be ok if feeding more than one person but I don't suppose you can re-heat it again can you?

Are you lot on commission? ;)

Lol - really not nope, my cooking skills are pretty basic and simple only and things never turn out the way that i want lol.

Post away darling, we can all benefit!

Yeah could have done but then i've paid £3 for the meal something similar for some chicken - it turns into being quite costly. Nah i wouldn't re-heat frozen bits and i am a lonely SW dude in the household - and curry eater for that matter!

This biryani recipe can easily be adapted too and is lovely....just syn the curry paste

Ooooo wow thank you.... lots of interesting ones - reckon i might have to try that Chicken Stew one that looks amazing!!!

No probs :)
Hope you like it......one of my favs for sure x

I really enjoyed the curry. I also had to add rice and agree that at £3 a throw, it's not cheap but it was very tasty and handy to have. I like mild curries and this was ideal for me.

Yeah it was quite mild and i enjoyed it too. I reckon the over do of carbs wasn't helpful but it kept me full all afternoon and i ended up having a later tea with not being so hungry.

Had this for lunch today and didn't like it :(
Was a little too watery for me and I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth all afternoon, disappointed as it was the one I was looking forward to trying the most!

What a shame, i didn't find mine watery. I was looking forward to others more and enjoyed more!
