Uncontrollable fluctuations :)

Wouldn't it be just so much easier if we could be perfectly on plan and know that as a result we'll lose 2lbs, every week, without fail?

But no, our bodies are determined to keep life challenging!

I so so so want to lose 2lbs this week. It would get me to over halfway on my journey. 3lbs would mean I'd lost 1.5 stones this year. But I can't be sure it will happen. I'm completely on plan so far this week, have done an SP day today, and weigh day is Monday.

But I've done a week perfectly on plan before and lost 1lb, and a week of pigging out for 2 days before getting back to it and lost 3lbs.

Its so frustrating lol! I both can't wait to weigh and dreading it at the same time!
 
Haha I could probably do half a stone a week if I put my mind to it! :D
 
I know how you feel, I've stuck to plan so well this week and am half looking forward to Monday and half dreading it. I am really hoping for a good loss, at least the 1.75 lbs that I put on last week but I'd like to lose a bit more on top. We'll see. Here's hoping to a good weekend to finish the week, ready for Monday weigh in!
 
Sometimes the journey in front of us makes us forget to turn around and see how far we've come. Xxxx
 
I'm relieved im not the only one here with this frustration.... i've tried figuring out the logistics and sometime convince myself that its not the week i've just had, but the results of the week i had 2 weeks ago. Just when i thought I've cracked it, the rug gets pulled from under me again... eg: i was really good last 2weeks! and put on my BIGGEST weight gain 3.5 lbs! cannot believe it but putting it down to that time of the month... VERY ANNOYED, isheartened and confused booooooooooo
 
Londonlass I also suspect my scales are two weeks behind! I didn't think I'd lose anything the week before last as we had 2 birthdays in the family and I made (and ate some of!) 2 birthday cakes, I was absolutely astonished to have lost 4lbs. Last week I had a pretty good week, some chocolate on Saturday but within my syn total for the week, and lost precisely nothing. So frustrating!
 
Its so frustrating, last week i had a gain of 1.5lbs for no reason at all, again this week i've been great and eaten lots of speed food in my meals but im not sure i've lost
 
That's why I always refused to set myself a weekly target while I was losing! You just can't tell predict what your body is going to do.
 
thanks peeps xx I was on cloud nine walking into WI on saturday, skipped in, and onto the scales convinced i had a good week.. and BOOM... ruined my weekend! hard not to let it affect ya
 
It is really hard not to let it affect you. After my STS this morning (I know it could be a lot worse mind) following what I thought was a good week I'm really struggling to stay motivated today.

Don't get dishartened...just think of the great mother's day weekend you just had and how many more of these mother's days are to come...many more than before losing all the weight! I am losing weight for myself, yes, BUT i also lose the weight to be the best mum i can be to my son!!!

You can do it! If it helps, I had a maintain last week after a 100% SP week - I thought I was going to lose loads and was really disappointed - but I stayed on plan, despite feeling super grumpy lol, and lost 4lbs this week. So your perseverance will pay off - and look how much you've already lost! There's 25% less of you! You're amazing :)
 
I find it helps looking at the bigger picture of how much i have lost altogether rather than weekly as its seems once a month i'll have a gain no matter what, weigh in tonight for me and im hoping a get a loss as i've maintained or gained now for 3 weeks xx

not the best week last week in the end, we had a cheese and wine tasting course on Wednesday night and we ate a LOT of cheese! I never really got back on plan for the rest of the week, I was lucky to get a STS this morning. But this week I'm ON IT!
 
Hey girls,
Speaking about time of the month... I've got my WI on Wednesday, and it's the first I've had while on my TOM... I've done so-so this week, certainly better than the last 2 weeks (which both carried 1lb weight losses) but I'm gearing myself up for either a STS or a weight gain based on it being the time of the month.

Is this a myth or have you noticed around your period you always seem to get a gain?!
