Extra Easy Hi :) I'm new

Hi,

I've been a lurker for a while and I've plucked up the courage to join SW (joining tomorrow) so thought I'd say hello. Love reading everyone's diaries and tips, so hoping it will help me get to goal ASAP. After four years of uni I've gained far too much beef. Dreading my summer holiday in Cape Verde as I'm going to be like Shamu and dreading graduation pics. Tried SW on my own from home but I think I need the support of a class. Any advice/tips/words of wisdom would be very much appreciated!

Welcome to minimins and SW. You'll get there in no time I am sure. I would love to go to Cape Verde myself it looks amazing (I used to work in travel).
My advice is plan ahead, as soon as you get your SW Books do a food shop and get stocked up on all the free foods (speed foods get plenty of this in) as well as low syn snacks and plan a days meals ahead.
I tend to prepare my lunch the night before and get some meat out for dinner etc.
Write everything down as you eat it and check the syns before consuming as they can shock you lol...

I am also new.. started last Monday ..anyone can help I've followed the diet and bit upset I only lost 2lb.. still it's a loss..

Also can anyone help... I had a operation today and bloated.. and looks like the 2lb is back on!! I was unable to go group as just got home...

Not everyone gets a loss of 7lbs in their first week (I never did, and never have since) Some people lose the weight slightly slower, so don't be too disheartened by 'only' 2lbs, it's a great loss! 2lbs a week means you can lose a stone in 7 weeks, and they say the slower you lose it the easier it is to keep it off :)
