Slow weight loss

Hi got weighed today an only another half of so far it's taken me 7 weeks to lose 9 1/2 lb I know I should be happy but I'm not compared to when I used to do slimming world this is ver very slow my biggest lose is 2 1/2 pound my lowest ever on a first week I eat loads of fruit an veg always on the go last week I stayed the same just sometimes feel is it worth it I spend so much on healthy fresh meat fish veg an fruit but never before have I been stuck in a rut with at least twice a month staying the same gaining or having a tiny weight loss

does anyone think it's ee an weight losses were better with red an green but then there's ladies in my group that lose great doing it every week have even tried drinking more water to speed things up did red this week an only half a pound of I know mixtape don't happen over night but 7 weeks an only 9 1/2 pound??????

If you hadn't started SW 7 wks ago where would you be, at least 9 1/2 lbs heavier than you are now. I know slow loses as frustrating, I'm a slow loser myself but at least its coming off and its more likely to stay off.

I would suggest you post a food diary so we can see (if) you are going wrong anywhere. Are you having your HEXA and B's and weighing and measuring them? Are you having all your syns. I know a lot of people who lose better when they are having their syns. Drinking pleanty of water and only eating till your satisfied. Also are you having a 3rd superfree on your plate. I know you probably know all this but sometimes nice to have a reminder.

I tend to stick to bits that don't need to be weighed like bread or two wheatbix i did think about a online food diary with ee I have to plan lunch and dinner with red I can have my ceral or toast an still get a sarnie if needs be as got a 4 month old an a 3 year old so making anything to eat is seize it while you can sort of thing its worst when there's weeks you feel you have done really well an feel like you have lost to be half or stay the same I looked back through my old certificates from 2008 an my loses were a lot quicker then maybe it's old age hahahaha

Some of us take the scenic route shell. Xx

Youre doing really well xxx

I reckon I am lol I've gone back to extra easy today an already got a chilli in the slow cooker so hopefully get a good loss next week fingers crossed

Sending positive vibes.... :vibes:

I always take the scenic route round, Shell but when I look at the horrible pictures of the 2lbs of fat posted on here and on display at SW groups, I am actually shocked that all that awful stuff USED To BE on my body!!! It is frustrating, I know but, at least, we're doing something positive about it. Just think how fat we would have been if we hadn't started SW!!

I found this on a social networking site (which is filtered here?) so thought it was worth posting... it certainly surprised me (there were then other pictures of 1lb near a coffee mug and stuff, was gross)

Some might say that I'm losing slowly, I've lost 7.7lbs in 7 weeks, but I'm just chuffed to have lost anything, especially seeing as I'm not being strict and following EE exactly. And I feel I'm more likely to keep it off too as last time I did SW, I lost 1.5 stone in 3 months then piled it all back on and more. Slow & steady works for me.

It's best of than on I looked back through my old stuff when I did red and green an my weight loses where very good plus thing though I have fallen in love with low fat natural yoghurt with fresh fruit in an cous cous been making salads with it an it's so filling you don't need a lot

Maybe your losses aren't as quick as you would like because you've just had a baby. Your hormones will still be all over the place, I believe they say it can take a year to get back to normal after a baby so its early days yet.
Definitely something to consider.
Having said that, I think your loss is more than acceptable, averaged out, it is a little under 1.5lbs per week which is a good healthy amount and what SW say you should lose in a week.
I know we all want it to happen quick....just keep plodding on, it all adds up.

A year to get back to normal my oldest is 13 next month don't think I ever got back to normal after the first lol I'm sure I will get there been told I've def lost weight from my face slow an steady wins the race

Well a quick update another half a pound gone not happy but I know I should be don't help my mate ate chic cake drunk alcohol ate the party food an still lost half I'm thinking of trying the sp so if anyone has any meal ideas????? Plz share or can point me in the direction of some sp food diary and otherwise I'm heading to Mac Donald's at this rate lol x

Mine is slow too, 8 lb in 8 weeks BUT this is a lifestyle change now so I'm happy to keep going and losing a pound a week as long as its coming off and I'm not starving myself!

It is a way of life yes I've been in an out of slimming world since 2008 it's just every other week a bit more loss would be lovely an I'm not the only one to say the weight loss's are very slow as I said I will get there one day

Ugh Sexyshell135, I feel your pain with slower losses than yourself (8.5lbs in 12 weeks) and as far as my consultant can see I am doing everything right ... and also my friend who is teeny (only had 10lbs to lose) constantly loses 2-3lbs a week!!! Luckily we joke about it, but it is sooo annoying. So although I am unable to offer an advice know that you are not alone in thinking that this is a slow and expensive way to lose weight. However, it is coming off and I have never eaten so well in all my life getting my 5 day without even having to try. Maybe a food diary on this sight might be useful? I was so peed off one week I was considering taking photo's so I could 'prove' I wasn't cheating. Mad how stir crazy losing weight can make you :silly:

Keep us updated with how you go! My weigh in on Monday ....
